How come he hasen't been used more in the passing game? He has been top 3 in receiving on our team the last couple of year. Last year he was leading our team in receiving before he got hurt. This year he only has 7 catches, i think our passing game would be a lot more potient if we lined him up in the slot ( like reggie bush) and have ricky line up as the back that we have a pass/run threat on the field at the same time and we could have a wildcat like attack where we either hand it to ricky while ronne runs down the line (like ricky does in the wildcat) or fake to ricky and sweep to ronnie. But unlike the wildcat we would have a passing threat out of it with pennington lining up under center. Even do a fake to ricky then a fake to ronnie and hit ronnie in the flat and let him go to work. But either way i think we should be more involved in the passing game. Thoughts?

i do agree we dont use the runningbacks in the passing game much. We might as well since our receivers struggle to get any plays dont field.
Ronnie is a good receiver and we could do some dammage with him.

There were a few occasions last week where Ronnie or Ricky were out wide and it wasn't in the wildcat formation. We actually got some good gains on those plays but to other people.

I like how Ronnie doesn't sell the screen. He does a very good job faking as if he were a blocker and staying behind the tackle then bouncing off and setting up for the screen pass.

Agreed that we should use him more in the passing game.

Him Staying back and blocking on Pass Plays has allowed the TE's to free up alot more and they have been doing a great job catching the ball. I would love for them to find a nice balance of passes to the TE and RBs.

You see the RB getting into the passing game more when the QB has to check down. Pennington hasn't been having to do that, either because we run short routes or we have good protection, in any case that is a good thing. We might try and get him the ball on some plays out of the backfield without check-downs though...I know we did in the first game against the Jests.
