I was watching a replay of lsu vs auburn from last year and i watched ronnie brown the entire game, he played the fullback position 1/2 the time and caddy was at rb, do you think once ricky is back in shape and back from his suspension could ronnie brown be starting fullback? ricky and ronnie starting in the same backfield scary! ronnie was a beast when he was blocking or carring the ball.

i dont think ronnie is going to start at fullback

We did not spend the #2 pick in the draft on a fullback. I do think Linehan will have both of them in the backfield at times to throw off the defense, but in no way will Brown be our STARTING fb.

One step at a time.Ronnie has to learn the system at RB. To combine at this juncture is too soon IMO. We got him to run the ball with Ricky, not to block for him.

VERY true.

i can see a formation with them both in the back field. maybe use brown as a run blocker ~3 plays a game.

I don't think he'll start at FB either, but I sure hope and believe that Linehan will have the both of them in the same backfield at least some of the time.

Edit:
:yeahthat::yeahthat::yeahthat:...you guys beat me to it.

Don't get me wrong. Ronnie will be a FB... at times. But not all the time.

This is ironic...From your name (Rickysux), why do you even want Brown as a FB and Ricky as a RB since he sux .....

alot of things become changed and permanent in the NFL, but you could deff see this guy out there at the same time as ricky, they can draw it to ricky, throw it to ronnie, have ronnie go in motion to the outside or use them as decoys, many many options, he deff wont be a starter but do not be surprised when you see that this year because it will happen about for 1/4-1/5 of the offensive part of the game( most likely 1/5)

let ricky be fullback and ronie rb? sounds better like that...

ricky's much smaller then ronnie is, and ronnie is used to the FB position more and has better hands, ricky is also not in the right body form for FB, but i wouldnt worry too much about it cuase if iether of them do play it its nont a permanent postion its just for one or two formations

I'd love to see them split Ronnie out at reciever and run 3 or 4 reciever sets with him and have Ricky at RB. Ronnie's hands are one of his strengths and scouts said he had the best hands of ANY player in the draft (that includes all the Wide Recievers). That offense would be explosive.

Ronnie is definately going to see alot of time at fullback, Saban has alluded to as much.

Why not? He might not start at the position, but I'm sure he'll see as much time as anyone else. He's got the skills to play the position, and him and Gordon or him and Ricky produce matchup problems.

if the o-line dosen't play any better than they did last year, they may have to both be in there to block
