i'm sorry... but i can't think of anyone in the league who catches the ball as naturally from the running back position as Ronnie Brown... nor has as good a feel for the passing game.... that includes Dunn, Brian Westbrook... and he scraps for that "yellow stripe" too... in fact, i'll go so far as to say he's the best the league has seen as a pass-catching RB since Marshall Faulk's heyday... and he's only getting better with at...

mesmerized by this guy with each passing game that i see him play.... imagine him running behind the steelers line? oh my... he's on pace for a 1,500 yard season from scrimmage.... not bad with this line...

Eeek.

LT and Bush to name two.

LT has a great feel for the passing game, and they design lots of solid plays for him in their system... but he does not have the stickum hands that Brown does... sorry, no...

Oh please, don't be ignorant.

Having lots of plays designed for him has nothing to do with the argument. But if we're going to bring it up, just check the stats on his career receptions. That'll be a great indicator of LT as a reciever. Ronnie hasn't even begun to scrape the surface of the success LT has had catching the ball out of the backfield. He's in Marshall Faulk's class.

And Bush......... there's a reason he was ranked as having the best hands of anyone in his draft class - even recievers and tight ends.

Oh and by the way, what is it Ronnie does that makes him "have a better feel for the passing game." I'd love to hear this.

you know... perhaps you're new here... so i won't break out the goods... but, whatever you do, don't call me ignorant again... i wasn't disrespectful in my retort to your point, so why must you be?...

regardless, this thread wasnt made with the intention of having a pissing contest with a new poster who is certain he knows everything... it was intended to praise our best player... i'll let you keep your pissy opinion, and i'll maintain mine... mmm-kay?... yeah...

anyway, to answer your pissy question that you're apparently so eager to receive... i'll say that Ronnie Brown has an excellent feel for finding the soft spots, and working with his QB to have momentum towards a soft spot in the underneath coverage... doing so while already running at good speed as he simultaneously brings the ball down and secures it.... he also has a natural feel for the fastest track to the first down marker under umbrella coverage...

i never said LT wasn't brilliant at it, so why are you fronting indignance as if i dissed him somehow? i believe Ronnie's hands make up the difference... he is, in my opinion, the best RB pass catcher in the league... hope that's alright with you...

(FTR, i was told by a mod that "pissy" was acceptable... :cooldude: ))

I could care less if I'm a noob. I just call it like I see it and claiming Ronnie Brown as having the best hands of any RB in the NFL is blatantly an ignorant statement.

Ronnie Brown finding the soft spots? He stands no farther than 5 yards past the line of scrimmage when other teams are blitzing the hell out of that crap O-line and gimpy Culpepper while the remaining secondary hangs back blanketing our recievers who haven't been able to get open. That's not finding the soft spot. If a QB really wanted to, he could check down to his RB in nearly almost every passing down - the epitome of dink and dunk. But you can't do that all game.

Ronnies a good all-around back, but you're making him out to be a god in the passing game which he simply isn't.

BTW, way to follow up your ignorant statement with a threat. Good job on that.

Jon Gruden at the senior bowl said Brown had the best hands of any player in that draft regardless of position.

I like his hands. He is still developing as a receiver.

a threat? :shakeno: ... too funny... more like sound advice if you wanna last around here...

anyhow, about the 5-yard dumpoff, is that the only pattern you feel you've seen from Brown? if so, let us know when you're able to watch a full game, live, rather than the highlights you've caught on NFL PrimeTime...

How would I not last? Last I checked, anyone can openly criticize comments, just not the poster.

I watch all Dolphins games. We ran more specific plays for Ronnie last season when we sent him wide. This season he's Culpeppers emergency blanket when the O-line's not giving him enough time or he's being indecisive with the football. Sometimes both.

Please Reggie Bush has better hands than Ronnie. Reggie could probably be a receiver at this level if given a chance. Ronnie is a good receiver but there are better receivers ar runningback, not many but there are better.

Reggie's a reciever in a runningback's body.

Yea I'm sure he has better hands than Braylon Edwards lol.

Probably. My boy Braylon's been turning it on since his Week 1 Edward Butterhands routine.

Lot harder to catch balls downfield. Must not have watched Braylon since that week. Braylon could make all the catches that Ronnie makes, the same can not be said for the other way around.

He's been on my fantasy roster the past couple weeks. I play in a salary cap league. I could tell right away he and Frye had quite the chemistry going. Those two are locked at the hip.
