Ronnie Brown (Lisfranc surgery, injured reserve) says there's "no question" he'll be ready for 2010, and could possibly participate in OTAs.

Brown was "getting around much better," though on crutches at a team charity event Tuesday. "Physically, everything is good," he said. Brown will still likely be limited all offseason. He's headed for restricted free agency in the spring. It remains to be seen at what level the Dolphins will tender him.

Ricky has been doing a great job to take the #1 spot, but we really need to re-sign Ronnie to keep our potent ground attack.

He certainly helps but I would not be opposed to trading him if the value is there. I'm not a big believer in big 2nd contracts for RB's, you never get the value out from them. Brown has an undeniable history of injuries that is sure to get even worse the older he gets. And it's not like we're desparate for a RB, we have Williams, Cobbs and Hillard. We could easily trade Ronnie and pick up a RB later in the draft or in 2011.

Ronnie is valuable to the team and Wildcat so if we do re-sign him I hope it's at a 3 year deal and no more.

My only concern with trading away ronnie is his relationship with ricky and ricky will not want to be the "guy" in Miami. This could force him to retire leaving us with Cobbs and Hilliard vying for the starting job. While Cobbs has shown flashes, that tandem brings back memories of parmalee and higgs..

Brown can stay if its a good deal. But I have a feeling they will try and trade him away for a 2nd round pick. I think they got Sheets so he could learn the wildcat. Because lets face it they grabbed that guy up quick even before Brown was out with the injury, he was picked up when Cobbs went down.

I think that is why you are seeing Henne throw a lot more so Ricky does not have to be the "guy". They are letting Henne take the pressure off using his arm.

If we lose the running game, we are screwed....

True. But a lot of Ronnie's yards have come from the Wildcat. He had the one good year under Cam, but he doesn't stand out as a great back like Ricky was in his prime years. I just don't see the FO keeping him around if they can get a draft pick for him. I mean maybe the trade rumor with him to the Browns did carry some weight.

Ricky only really stood out for one year. He could've been so much better but, it's not like he was a great back for a lot of years. One season was great. Ronnie, because of injuries has never had a great year. I feel like he could've had a few great seasons if he stayed healthy but, he didn't so, I'd take a draft pick for him.

I really don't think Ronnie's being here or not has anything to do with Ricky. He would still split carries with Hillard and Cobbs so the work load wouldn't be an issue. Plus where I have complained of the play calling this year atleast Williams knows the coaches won't run him up the gut 3 times protecting a 3 point lead like some other dummy coach we had.

i think we'll use one of our franchise tags on Ronnie and have him back for another year. after 2010, i guess we'll start over anew at the RB position with both Ronnie and Ricky gone.

Ronnie is not a free agent unless there is a new labor agreement, which at this point doesn't seem likely.

I hope Ronnie stays if only because I just bought my future stepson a Ronnie Brown jersey for Christmas!

He is going to rush for 1600 yards and 15 TDs on his way to league MVP. Oh wait.....that was 2006.....and 2007...........and 2008.........and this year.

I'm starting to lose faith in Ronnie. He's never had an 1000 yard season and he's always injury prone. I love him, but IDK.

i like ronnie but face it hes injury prone and never has been an elite back, all though he has the skills to be. not agruing the talent but hes up there in years for a back his prime was this year i think and he got injured. C.J. Spiller is how we should spend the 1st round pick. he will be the explosive element we need, guy is very comparable to Chris Johnson and really is all purpose. Ricky can split carries next season will Spiller and then Spiller time!
