with all the ronnie is a bust comments going around i thought i would give you a little info. as you all know bulls like ronnie brown need 20-25 carries to get going and be effective and punish the D late in the game and get some big chunks of yards and the bottom line is ronnie is not getting those carries late in the game. so here is a little comparison with ronnie and a back who is similar to ronnie, steven jackson who also leads the league in yards.

ronnie 4th quarter carries by game

week1-loss-3carries
week2-loss-0carries
week3-win-8carries
week4-loss-3carries
week5-loss-1carries

total 5games 15 4th quarter carries

steven jackson

week1-win-6carries
week2-loss-4carries
week3-win-7carries
week4-win-8carries
week5-win-7carries

total 5games 33 4th quarter carries

I know that the reason ronnie has not had the carries is because we have been comming from behind but the reason ronnie has not busted out with a 150yd game is the carries in the 4th quarter. ronnie is a special player who could play fullback or tightend, he is not ricky but he is a very good overall player.

Dont bother with logical explainations on this board.

We are 25th in the league in rushing attempts... and 24th in the league in rushing. But apparently there is no correlation, and Ronnie is a bust.

Good post, but most of us rational people already know that the lack of carries is an issue. While most others just choose to overlook it.

Yea, well we ran rickey about 500 times in a season and he still only got 1800 yards and I think he a 3.7avg. Probably one reason why he quit cause we killed him. I'm pretty sure if we give ronnie the ball that many times he could do the same thing.

the running game has to actually work before u give a back a ton of carries in the 4th.[/quot

(Ding) (Ding) (Ding) We have a winner.

Hard to stick with something that isn't working!

Its a team effort, we cant put alot on Ronnie shoulders, there's 10 other men on the field, that has to make things happen.

What about in the Buffalo game? And also, its hard for it to work when you are running out of the freakin shotgun... and you only have 5 blockers going against 7 or 8 defenders. This spread offense crap blows...

Our run game is not a threat to anyone, so that hurts us when we try to move the ball, it makes us one sided. We have to use the run to set up the pass, and vice versa. Look at the majority of the team that have a dominating Offense, and this is what you will see.

They won't know what this post mean. All they know is that Ronnie isn't providing the stats that help their fantasy teams or that they can make him have on Madden. Clueless.

My fantasy team is 5-0, my real team, well, not so much. :(

Staff gave Ricky the ball so many times because they had faith in him because he had proven he could change the outcome of a game. I don't see the same faith in Ronnie, most likely because he has yet to show that he can change the game.

his 4th quarter attempts are way down because the fins have losing going in to the 4th quarter a lot.

4th quarter attempts increase when you have the lead and/or the D can not stop the running game. (that hasnt really happened that often this year for the fins).
