I have noticed that a lot of people keep mentioning Ronnie Brown for next year and how he is going to tear it up, but nobody seems to remember that he tore an ACL and those are hard to come back from. So here is my question....How many of you think that Ronnie will truly be able to ever display the ability he showed us this past season? I know it may sound crazy but is running back on the agenda for the Draft? I hate to sound like a pessimist but it worries me the statistics of running backs that are never the same after an ACL injury. What you guys think?

Ronnie Brown has been praised by numerous teammates for his work ethic. Knowing that, I'm pretty sure he hit the rehab on his knee pretty hardcore and will be ready to go for next year.

Deuce McAllister did the same thing and came back fine. I so no reason why ronnie shouldn't he has a great work ethic.

I dont think we want to take a rb early I truly think RB will bounce back next season.

I know the data is from 1994 - 1998 so the stats should be even better now with technological advances since 1998. Check the last stat. Acl injuries, although very serious, are not that hard for an NFL player to come back from. With todays medicine and the surgeons who perform the reconstructive surgeries it is much easier for a player to come bacl close to, if not 100%. I think Ronnie will be fine and wont miss a step. The regular fan who didnt know he tore his ACL wont even notice he lost a step.. IMO

We should still draft someone(rb) in the middle to late rounds...just in case.

We already have more RBs on the roster than we need. We have way too many other needs than to pick up more RBs with draft picks.

chatman should be the first to go IMO, then Cobbs... IMO Gado is just as good as chatman and hes alot cheaper too.. Wed be fine with Ronnie, Ricky, Lorenzo, and Gado... And we still have Mauia at FB

I agree, no reason to waste picks on RB. I think we gonna see a real battle in camp...And i think our 3 active RBs for week one are going to be : Ronnie, Ricky and Booker(unless Ronnie isnt ready to go)

I want some young linemen on both sides of the ball. A good O line can make an average back look good and elevate the QB play which is key in developing a young QB. Let's face it, when it comes to defense, the biggest concern is stopping the run. If we improve both lines this draft and free agency, we could be stable for several years to come, unlike recently.

ACL injuries used to be much more serious than they are today I think. With all the new medical advancement, you can rehad to pretty much full strength in less than a year from an ACL injury. Ronnie will be able to come back next year and be fine, not to mention he'll have Ricky and LoBo to share some of the work load. Hopefully we might also have a passing game to rely on a little more.

read my above post #5. You might like that...if you hadnt already that is

Here is how I see it. The way he played last year, I think this coming year he could perform to about 90% of that level. We need to monitor his carries and touches and rely on some other backs more (Lo-Book). The following season is when Ronnie can be back to 100% and even better.
