Ronnie Brown is extremely old for a second year vet.

He's the same age as Clinton Portis.
Older than Cadillac by a few months.
Older than Steven Jackson by almost 2 years.
Same age as Julius Jones.

I think this is kind of wierd considering that Ronnie was just a Rookie last year. I know that some come out as juniors and Ronnie was a senior but he must have gotten held back. I also know that he doesnt have as much wear and tear as those other guys, but I just find it interesting.

I'm thinking he has a few more good years on those tired old legs before age becomes an issue :)

That was one of the reasons I was in the Edwards camp rather than Brown around draft day 2005.

Ronnie was 23 turning 24 in December when we drafted him. That was one reason I questioned the pick, because high RB draft picks usually are young around 21.

Ronnie went to go play baseball for about two years after high school and then he went on to college. It really doesn't matter that he is 1-2 years older then a normal rookie because he is still one damn good RB who could be seeing alot of Probowls in his future.

He's older than most the guys from his class, but he was the best offensive player in it.

hey man whatever.... the guy is in his mid 20s trust me well win a super bowl before he hits 30 !~ :dolphins:

You should be more worried about Chambers, who is now 28, I believe.

thank goodness that edwards wasn't the pick. just think who the RB would be this year since ricky is out for the whole year.

Nope... he was drafted but he never played for them. He red-shirted his freshmen year and then spent the next 4 playing for auburn..Grand total of 5 years in college...
