Stop the Ricky is better crap. Ronnie is the best back on our team. Without Ronnie we wouldn't be in this situation. Ronnie has a few games of 100 yards or more, Ricky has 1. Ronnie has 12 total touchdowns, Ricky has half that. Ronnie Brown is the catalyst of the Wildcat. Ronnie Brown is a freaking Pro Bowler. To top it off, Ronnie had a better game than Ricky today.

with all that said, im happy to have them both. :)

Brett Favre is a pro bowler. Does that make him good? Does it mean he had a better season than Rivers or Pennington? Hell, he didnt have a better season than about 7 other AFC QBs who didnt make the pro bowl. So if you want something to stop, how bout that pro-bowl argument. I knew the Ronnie homers would harp up big on that one at the same time they claim Favre sucks.

If you watch the games, and actually understand whats going on out there, you know that Ricky is the better player. Thats why he has been getting a slight edge in actual playing time down this stretch. A stretch of games where we are WINNING almost all the time btw. You know....like the last time Ricky was on our team and he started getting the bulk of the load during Ronnie's rookie year and we won the last 6 games to finish 9-7.

i'm guessing "down the stretch" means in the 4th quarter.

Ricky Williams has 36 rushes in the 4th quarter this year, 0 TDs.
Ronnie Brown has 63 rushes in the 4th quarter this year, 5 TDs.

it's easy to just make things up when you're trying to make a case against a player for whatever reason, but the facts expose your true intentions.

Today when we where running the clock out at the end before it all started and I saw Ricky out there I told my friends watch Ricky will fumble this beacuse hes horrible in the red zone. I still dont understand why you would have Ricky running the clock out when you know there is a great chance of him fumbling the ball and a great chance that on first contact he is going down.

In that situation Brown would of been the better choice less of a chance to fumble and actually can gain extra yards after 1st contact.

I wonder if the Ricky fed henning some of the weed that he can't smoke and told him to keep playing him more or what. Im scared beacuse we might be looking for a new HB in 2 years beacuse Brown will be gone if we dont start giving him the ball more and you know Ricky will be gone to cuz he will be to old.

I have little doubt that Ricky is the better natural runner. HOWEVER, he is not he Ricky of 5 years ago and I hope we are never fooled into counting on him for anything. I'm not saying he doesn't help the team, but how many times can one guy screw you before you start covering your ***. Ronnie is not great at any one thing but he is more than solid in several. Where he really excels is as a receiver where we rarely ever use him. Only thing Cameron (sorry for saying it) did right last year is realizing this major talent. Hopefully we'll use Ronnie more next year. Maybe we are being careful with the knee this year...Otherwise I just don't understand his lack of use.

BOTTOM LINE though is that if we put together a dominant offensive line we could put any reasonable talent back there and they would run for 1200 yards.

I can't speak for WV but I am quite certain that "down the stretch" is the stretch run of the season.

I don't even know why this is being debated. We have a stable full of strong horses. Let em all run.

either way the numbers don't stack up in Ricky's favor at all. the only month Ricky outrushed Ronnie was in September.

I think we are protecting his health. IF we make the playoffs, expect Ronnie to get 20 carries and Ricky to get 10. Personally, i feel the safest when Lousaka runs it, but that is just me. Our coaching staff knows Ronnie is better. Players dont just come back from ACL injuries. If they aren't dealt with properly, they can end careers. Ronnie's lack of carries is for his own good. Look for Ronnie to get more carries next year.

Ronnie's main weakness is he tends to hesitate instead of taking sure yardage. That doesn't make him a worse running back, that is just one of his weaknesses. Ronnie breaks more tackles, secures the ball better, and makes bigger plays especially down the stretch. Plus he has a nose for the endzone. Ricky has looked like he lost a big step from the 2002 Ricky, naturally, but he's still productive.

Ronnie makes 9 million this year, Ricky makes .75 million. Ricky + that cap space would be a lot better than having Ronnie.

Ronnie has had more carries and receptions in the 2nd half of the season than Ricky. Ronnie also has more carries in the 2nd half of the game also. In the 4th quarter with 7 minutes or less Ronnie also has more carries. Ronnie is beating Ricky across the board. If you want to think that Ricky is better than Ronnie go ahead and think that but dont say he is because he isn't. Both Ricky and Ronnie dance to much. After Ricky's 02 seasons Ricky has been dancing way to much. They both dance too much but they are still both good RBs.
