''I'm pretty tough on myself,'' Brown said this week on the day he was named the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week. ``I know some people don't think I'm where I need to be yet and other people might talk about my potential and say I've reached it. But until I'm on the field for all 16 games in a season I won't really be satisfied.

``I still feel I have a long way to go. I want to be one of the better backs in the league and to do that you have to be one of the most consistent backs in the league. You're not consistent until you're in there and playing a full season. I'm not there yet.''

I'd love to see him complete a season too. However, I think he's a superstar regardless.

Completing a season is essential for Ronnie Brown. If he does it this season, I'll be the happiest Dol-Fan I can be... regardless of our wins...
and on that note, Ricky needs to step it up..
if by game 16, both of our running backs are healthy and focused(drug-free)..i'll be on cloud nine

and i love the fact that he's admitting it... that's the first stop towards progress

i love that kid. he's going to be the heart and soul of this team for the next five seasons at least.

Wow, we're lucky to have a player with that mindset. I love that not satisfied mindset. He is everything you can ask from a football player.

Yes indeed, it sure is nice to hear him acknowledge what his critics are saying about him. I like how he dosnt present excuses and just says he needs to improve and prove himself to all of us.

when healthy last year he was a top 5 back.

He wasn't just a top 5 back.. He was THE top back.

Ronnie Brown was the #1 back with the most yards from scrimmage and the most yards per carry average for the time he played.

From the article:
Toward the end of the 2006 season as Brown was closing in on his 1,008-yard season, coach Nick Saban blamed Miami's disappointing 6-10 record, in part, on the absence of Ricky Williams. Saban suggested aloud that if Williams, suspended for the season, was carrying the ball instead of Brown, the Dolphins would have been a better team.

In the 2007 preseason, new coach Cam Cameron was openly displeased with Brown. The coach didn't think the player worked very hard getting ready for the season and as punishment forced Brown to return kickoffs.

After Jesse Chatman turned what seemed like a short run into a 74-yard touchdown in the preseason opener, Cameron pulled the curtain on his opinion of Brown when talking to a reporter:
''Ronnie would have gotten caught from behind on that play,'' Cameron said dripping with disgust.

Didnt realize these things were said...especially Saban saying that when he had a 1000yd season...quite lame, imo.
Maybe that was his motivation last year, to shut Cam up, lol.

Maybe this will shut the yap's of too many on here that have broken the anoiting oil out for RB...

It's all about productivity over time... and that means 325+ carries per season with an average of at least 4.2 YPC for YEARS and YEARS... not just a game here and there...

Like the man said... "I'm not there yet"....

if cam really said that, thank god that piece of **** is the **** outta Miami.

Cam is a retarded *******. so is saban.

Does anybody remember who led the NFL in scrimmage yards for the second third of the season or the last third. Players are defined over what they do over a season not a part of it. Ronnie could be a top five back at some point but to this point he has never been that guy.

I didn't realize Cam had said that about ronnie, how can a coach bad mouth a player on his on team. No wonder we only won one game last year the guy is simply a loser.
