I'll take Ronnie over Reggie anyday at the NFL level.

Reggie(mark my words) won't hold up against NFL defenses.

Where as Ronnie is a bruiser of a back. He can run, he can block, and he can catch the ball.

ronnie brown reggie wont be that great in the nfl because his size.ronnies the better back

I only saw Reggie play a few times for USC, but you cannot compare until he's laced it up against NFL quality defensive players. He may be the next Barry Sanders or he may be John Avery. Ronnie has shown he can do it part time, now he needs to show it full time.

In honest though, I would prefer Ronnie's type of running game. I don't think Reggie will overpower anybody so he'll probably be tackled a lot for losses or short gains. Ronnie moves the pile.

be honest...
Im being dead honest, and I wouldnt even think twice about it. Ronnie for sure, atleast at the moment. All I know is that when choosing between somone who is a tailored back to be your horse to carry the load, or chosing the most over-hyped player coming out of college(who isnt even the right size to carry the ball as much as you would want to)-the decision isnt that tough. IMO its a very easy choice, but for a team like New Orleans to pick up Bush made alot of sense because they already have Deuce Mcallister and Aaron Stecker to run in between the tackles when they need to. Bush will just be an insanely overpaid gadget player, I really do not see him doing many runs that arent specificly designed for him to create his own space. He could however be very effective by utilizing him as a wideout threat on some downs. I still would take Ronnie though just by sheer capability to carry the load game after game for us.

I also do not think Reggie Bush will be a great feature back in the NFL.. he may be a good all around player who you can line up in the slot, stick back to return, or hand the ball to on the edges.. but I just cant see him being a major impact RB in the NFL

You cant dance around everyone like he did in college, and I have heavy doubts about his ability to run between the tackles..

I would easily take Ronnie Brown over Reggie Bush

i dont like 200lb running backs. i prefer a back that can run through a LB or Safety, not just around them.

Interesting question. They call Reggie "Baby Matrix" for a reason. It will be fun to find out.

Tough, tough question.

Ronnie is a proven entity.
Bush's "upside" is greater than Ronnie's.

I'm not much of a gambler, so I'll take Ronnie.

I think Bush is going to be a more explosive back, he`s also a guy who`s going to hurt defenses in more ways than Brown does...receiving, kick returns etc. I think Ronnies a truer running back in the sense you`re going to feature him more as your every down back, a guy who hopefully will carry the rock 20 times a game for 16 weeks. You`re not going to see Bush carrying the ball that much. Interesting though that Brown has split time with other backs...first Cadillac at Auburn, then Ricky last year, so we really don`t know for sure if he`s going to be that workhorse back that everybodys counting on him being.

CK, we've debated something similar to this one before :D would you take Reggie?

It is a tough question though. Reggie's potential is Barry Sanders-like, but I'd still have to take Ronnie at this point.

i think Bush will never truly be able to carry the load IMO.
