Well ronnie had an off night. But it was due to the miami OL not been able to run block.....And he only had a handfull of carries. Im sure he would had gotten hot midgame through if it was a regular season game.

The defense is ahead of the offense as always this time of year. And the same can be said for the jags and just about every other team.

The miami D played outstanding. Both JT and porter had sacks. Crowder and ayodele played extremely well. And the DBs especially sean smith were great. Sean had his first int of the year.

Cameron wake has a lot of speed coming from the corner. I think he was playing LE at one time.

ON offense...Penninton connected with ginn and bess a couple of times. they seem to have the best chemistry.......Ginn continues to get open deep but pennington keeps underthrowing. And that worries me.

Fasano was nowhere to be found and martin made 1 catch.....

Ricky williams was running hard and tough although he had nowhere to run through he avoided a few tackles and made something out of nothing..

_____________________________________________________________

It took a while for henne to get it going but he connected with hartline for a 19 yard reeption.........And also connected with willford on a fake for the lone touchdown of the day.........

Pat white seems to have a lot of zip in his passes....His passes were been dropped left and right.

Patrick Turner made a couple of catches but he also dropped a couple...

The second team defense did not allow a TD either but the jax QB was able to connect with receivers on more than a few ocassions....

_____________________________________________________________

Special teams did not allow any long returns so thats an improvement from last year...

Williams seems to have a knack for returning the football.....He made a big mistake at the beginning of the game where he fielded a punt inside the 5..........Got tackled at the 1........

Worries about the O line.

With the addition of jake grove we still cannot run the football....And Donald Thomas needs to play this year because IMO murphy isnt the player Dthomas is.

Overall I think we are going to be ok. This was the first pre season game and IMO we will improve next week.

Jags have one of the best interior lines in football.
We tried Ronnie inside 3-4 times on basic plays.
I'm pleased with the O-line

Why did you name this thread "Ronnie Brown Report" when it is more of a team report?

As for Ronnie's off night. Like most of the running backs last night, he had to make something out of nothing on a wet field. Neither starting offensive lines were able to do much drive blocking as a result.

people talking about all these sacks? we had 1 official sack... and that play that JT was involved in Nate Jones made the sack, and JT got in on it while Garrard was going down, and Garrard got it off either way so it was considered an incomplete pass... same as Wakes almost sack...

Actually neither Nate or Jason were credited with a sack. It was Ferguson who was credited with the lone sack of the night.

i know, thats why i said "and that play that JT was involved in Nate Jones made the sack, and JT got in on it while Garrard was going down, and Garrard got it off either way so it was considered an incomplete pass"

i have no idea when porter got a sack either, i mean he played well and our whole front 7 played good but people mentioning these phantom sacks and this isn't the first thread ive seen it

Really your Pleased with the way they blocked during the Running game i thought they blocked like crap against the run Both Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams were both getting hit right at the line

NO KIDDIN

IM not.....Jake grove didnt do jack. all he did was get a false start at the 4 yard line when we were about to score a td...

The entire OL got beat

We were ok in pass protection and got beat the heck off trying to runblock.

Anyways If this was a regular season game the OL would get an F in run blocking........

We'll get better. Its only the first pre season game. No signs of the wildcat....Very vanilla.

if you are pleased with our oline then you must not be serious about winning . bills , jets and pats all scored well over 17 points but again the dolphins couldnt get the ball into the endzone and that wont cut it if you re wanting to win .

Again
You have to understand, we tested the middle of their defesne on simple plays. We tried it 4X maybe.
Jags are STRONG right in the middle of the line. There was some push on 2 of those plays.
Pass pro was GREAT.
Just wait and see next week.
If you where looking for us to run ISO for 5-6 yards then you have unrealistic expectations.
