both Brown and Williams have above average hands and have been under utilized in the passing game. they create huge mismatches when being covered out of the back field by linebackers.

I would love to see them both on the field in some kind of pro set formation and send both out on swing pass patterns and let Henne make a read to one of them. getting these guys out in space against linebackers and DB's would be a big advantage and would mitigate the lack of receiving threats we have right now.

why doesn't this happen more? thoughts?

probably cause you're too busy taking the qb out of the game?

I too would like to see if Henne can make throws from a no-running back-backfield. He has the arm, and i think our line can give him time. Maybe this game?

Our coaches have talked about the actual benefit from being able to discuss what the QB sees when he comes off the field for a play or two. Like having a free time out, that is what they likened it to.
I have a feeling you guys may see some new wrinkles from the wildcat this game.

i'm just saying....taking your qb out for 15 plays/game is part of the reason you don't see as many different pass plays.

WTF I dont care if we run the wildcat 15 times a game. We run 60 plays, I want 5 of them to be screen passes to the RB's or a WR not named Bess everytime.

The only time Ricky or Ronnie touches it in the passing game is a dump off b.c no one is open. That is not enough room to make someone miss or run over someone.

We run like 1 RB screen all season and it goes for 60 yds. Let Ronnie run the screen too. Look what he did when Cameron was HC. Awesome stats in the passing game. The Saints blitzed the **** out of us and we got lucky when hartline burned his guy on a slant, we would of lost earlier. CALL SCREENS damnit every NFL team runs them and they are a solid, efficient play. Look at the Pats, they are so gay they do it every 5 plays.

i would have ronnie and ricky in on every play, two backs every time. I would call screens and swing pass routes all day for them, as well as wildcat stuff. they are both good pass blockers too, so there is no liability to having them stay in to help Henne.

line up a formation with brown, williams, fasano/haynos, bess and camarillo/hartline and you can have up to 5 receivers going out on the same play. have the wideouts run clearing routes and take the DB's up field, have fasano going up the middle against a safety and clear out the underneath for one of the backs. these aren't even plays that take a long time to develop, its a 5 step drop and dump it over the linemen's heads or go downfield to a wideout or a TE in the middle.
