As you all know, the 3rd season is supposed to be youre break out year...

Ronnie Brown has been in it for 3,and not really much to show for it

The only true thing i can say about Ronnie is that he is injury prone,or at least gets injuried a lot

Ronnie Brown has had a career worth accepting....for an unexpected player, yea.

But for the 2nd overall choice in the 2005 draft,I'd hesitate to say accepting.

He is the back of the future, but his numbers say the back of the past.

2,517 total rushing yards in 3 years,I suppose is good.

But,if you look at them,he went for 907 his first year,1,008 his second and back down too 602 his third. And too me,he made the most of his play time, that much is clear.

However,Joseph Addai(of the 06 draft) has had a better career and he was picked 30th and was elected to the Pro Bowl.Other recent RB's that have had better careers so far Adrian Peterson(Pro Bowler as a rookie, and won the MVP at the Pro Bowl),Maurice Jones Drew(SHARED the ball with Fred Taylor and still rushed for over 1,00 yards, and did KR's, ,etc.

His lack of health is what stands out the most of his individual seasons.

Ronnie has the potential to be the best RB...right after LT(LaDainian Tomlinson),but he cant be the best if he is not playing, due to injury.

Basically,Im saying is if he doesn't play up to expectation,do we move on,and get another RB next year?

(such as Chris Wells of Ohio State...if he comes out...)

:shakeno: I'm sick of this ish.

wow relax dude, he got injured. Everyone gets injured. This was going to be his best year, but he got injured. You just said a whole bunch of stupid stuff.

Yeah granted he was hurt last year, obviously why his numbers were low, but was on his way to an incredible year. You can't help if & when you get hurt. And who knows maybe he goes the next 3 years w/o missing a game (which also wouldn't be the norm). They all miss games, and I would not say Ronnie is Injury prone. And you also have to give Ronnie credit for the year he split w/RW. The line is finally coming together, I have faith that Beck & our O will be able to keep most Defenses honest & Ronnie will really be able to break out this year. So give the guy a chance will ya?

also rb doesnt have the talent around him that joe addai or the others have. Not the least bit. He was the offense and he was leading the NFL in yards from scrimmage until the freak injury.

This was his Break out year i guess you werent watching him earlyer in the season when he was healthy

obviously you didn't watch the season. he was injured and had 602 yards less then half of the season. pretty damn good if you ask me. not to mention he was over 1000 total yards when he got injured. 3 games and over 600 total yards is damn good if you ask me

this is really getting tiresome.... ronnie was actually on pace for 1600 yards and close to 1000 yards recieving if he didn't tear his acl.

Your lacking support in your statements such as the one that I put in bold. His rookie year he did have 907 yards BUT he did share the ball and missed a couple of games. 907 yards is a very productive year for a rookie, do you really think every rookie running back will make an impact like AP ? If so, your a bit crazy. His second year, he did run for 1000+ and he could have ran for more, I agree with that. His third year, you said " he went back down", considering when he WENT DOWN LITERALLY, he was second in the league in rushing, first in total scrimmage and 12th in receptions overall. You can't say much about this year other than the games he DID play in and the plays he DID make for this team. I am confident that with BP and JI here, we will get a new training staff to limit the injuries to this team's players such as Ronnie Brown.

As for Addai having a better career, I dont believe thats a fair to say. Let me throw out a few options for you and you tell me which would you rather have:

Manning or Beck/Lemon
Colts O line or Dolphins O line
Ginn/Booker or Wayne/Gonzalez

AP having a monster season? Yeah he did.......behind Hutchinson ( Best O linemen in the game), Birk ( PB center), and McKinnie ( better then what we have)

Jones Drew has fresher legs and has a better o line than Ronnie.

I never said,"lets not give the guy a chance!",i just wanted youre open if you think we should move on and get another RB next year, because if you wait too long, you will only bring the team down, however, too soon and yo can screw up the team, but,i never said anything too TOTALLY off base here, these are ALL facts, and you guys have got to take notice of them.

The whole hurt thing,i never said he had to NOT get injuried, but the frequency of him getting hurt is worse than any of our players in the last 3 years(since he was drafted)...did you know that?

I like Ronnie Brown too...I even have his jersey(the orange one),but you guys should look at it as the Fanchise's stand point, and not that you just like the guy.Look what happened with Ricky Williams...Everyone thought,"hey,he'll put down the pot,i know he will.He will be back next year and be just as good as he was back in 2002"....

Im just trying to get some opinions,i got em,and i thank you, think of me however you like, but i look at everyones flaws, rather than good, too determine if they should be praised the way they are.

I understand that everyones not perfect, but at the same time,Ronnie has excelled that much(other than break tackles) since he was drafted...only a 101 yard increase between his first season to his second, and a 398 decrease in yards his second to hid third season. And everyones seasons go up and down, but what he is putting up,OVERALL,isn't that of the money we're paying him and the works of a 2nd overall draft choice player.

Its just my opinion...and me wanting to know yours, and thanks for replying

Not to mention the first 2 games of that streak he was splitting time and received only 11 carries in each of those first 2 games.

I'll never understand how some can put this "bust" label on him, he was on pace to break Marshal Faulk's yards from scrimmage record prior to his injury.

I never said his rookie season wasn't impressive, infact,i do believe i wrote that it was good, maybe you should open youre eyes.

As for the rest of what you said,I understand but,if you drafted as high as Ronnie was,and as LOW as Addai was,you cant actually say the its..."not fair".Ronnie had 3 seasons to Addais 2,and Addai is closing in on him quickly.
Addai missing games too,and there was a drought point in Indy, which leveled the playing field a bit,so you can't assume that it can't be accounted for.And if I recall correctly,Indys O-Line wasn't what it usually was this year,Ugoh out half the time, and Diem gone, also Harrison and Dallas Clark,Manning no have the typical 4,000 yard season, your facts are kind of invalid as well,if you call my(actually facts) facts bold and unfair

If you calling me crazy for pulling of stats that i compared to other RB's since Ronnie was drafted, then I guess I am.It all speaks for itself, you can think of it what you will, but I have go by facts, and not by opinions, such as yours....

on pace???

last time i checked,on pace doesn't count....until you actually do it,you can't say...on pace...cause he didn't.You could say he was running for 2,000 yards, and it wouldn't change anything,on pace is another word for,"could have"....but in football, let alone sports, you dont tell the coach when you missed the tackle to seal a win that,"I was on pace to"...cause you didn't...on pace means nothing...
