CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown will undergo surgery Friday morning to repair a Lisfranc fracture to his right foot, according Dolphins General Manager Jeff Ireland.

Brown stayed in Charlotte to have Dr. Bob Anderson, a renowned foot expert based in the city, work on the injury he suffered last Sunday in the team's 25-23 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Hope to see Ronnie next year healthy. Get well soon Mr. Brown

I totally agree hope he comes back better than ever. Seems like everytime he is having a career year he gets injured. love having Ricky in there.

I'm more confident it will make him a better player next year by having the surgery. You let it heal on it's own and if it heals wrong, you're screwed.

I see this as good news. And I agree, get well soon Ronnie.

Oh, so now you're a doctor? Tss..

can someone please explain to me what a Lisfranc injury is? the only thing i know is that it has to do with the feet...

Ted Ginn Jr. had the same injury when the Dolphins drafted him. Although, I dont recall Ginn ever having surgery on it. He wore a walking boot for like 6-8 weeks while it healed.

I wish Ronnie the best on a healthy and speedy recovery. Hopefully he will continue from where he left off, next season.

It is certainly disappointing when Ronnie's game is about to take off another injury. Here is to a speedy recovery. The R&R will be back and roaring to go next year.
