Anyone notice how, originally, Ronnies problem was that he could never find the endzone. In his first two years, he was solid between the 20s but when he'd get into the redzone he'd stall every time.

Now i feel like it's reversed. He's money in the redzone and can't seem to get it going between the 20s. You gotta think the rest of the offense is joking around with him "yeah we get you to the redzone and you steal the touchdown away every game".

Ronnie has 9 tds so far this season. His longest run yesterday was his td run int he redzone. I believe his longest run in the texans game was also a td in the redzone. I believe only 1 of his td's came outside the redzone. Personally I'm just shocked we're scoring enough points to have guy scoring this much.

Touchdown vulture, that's funny.

I'm just glad SOMEONE is finding the end zone. I love the combination of Ricky and Ronnie. I think Ronnie's getting the carries inside the 20's because of his size and strength difference over Ricky. It's a nice problem to have.

It's not like his touchdown run was a 1 yard plunge up the middle. It was a fantastic 16 yard run. Calling him a td vulture makes it sound like he didn't really earn that td.

ronnie is a big back, he's our goal line guy becuz of how often he can truck a defender and get in the endzone, the man always falls forward.
he patiently awaits blocks too..
i think that once our run blocking gets it together, and makes big holes, he's gonna be able to use his patience better and gash people... i can't wait for that to happen

lol whata thread

touchdown vulcher :err:
seriously all his tds (except for the big 62 against the pats) have been pounding the ball through ppl :hi5:

12 rushing TD's as a team this year. We had 14 all of last year!!

We actually have an many rushing TD's through 9 games, as we had passing TD's in 16 games last year!!

look at LenDale White for an example of a "touchdown vulture".

a touchdown is a touchdown. I think we overrate Td's but to say one back earns his and another doesn't is all in the eye of the beholder. I do think when Pete Johnson was with us his 9 tds were not an example of good play just use since he barely cracked 2 yards a gain. That being said if you are used alot on the goal line it can decrease your average.

GAMES WITH TD'S

VS Arizona-1 Yard TD

VS New England-
2 Yard TD
15 Yard TD
5 Yard TD
(19 yard passing TD)
62 yard TD

VS San Diego
5 Yard TD

VS Texans
6 Yard TD

VS Broncos
2 Yard TD

VS Seahawks
16 Yard TD

Avg is like 12-13 yards on each TD but obviously thats from the long one lol, but this doesn't mean Ronnie is just getting in easily, look at the TD vs the texans and from what I remember he put a move on Mario Williams lol

As dlockz said, a touchdown is a touchdown no matter the distance. I could care less if Ronnie breaks 1,000 yards as long he's getting the ball in the end zone cause that's what will win us games.

I hope Ronnie can not only keep putting up more TD's but also more yards. If he can get to 1,000+ yards and maybe 12+ Td's, Hello Hawaii for Ronnie!

well its possible as a popularity contest is the pro bowl. Right now Ronnie is 7th in rushing yards in the AFC. he is currently on pace for 896 yards rushing. I would say that Chris Johnson and Thomas Jones are more deserving with LT probably getting thier on name. Steve Slaton also might bump him.

I think ronnie could put up at least 6 more TD's before the year is over, but i think what, 500 in 7 games????? i don't know if he will because lately he hasn't been given that many carries, he just might do 1000 though

marion barber with julius jones and brandon jacobs with barber were touchdown vultures and short yardage backs, they both seem to be well respected backs and i think ronnie has better tools than both of them.
