Ronnie Brown vs Reggie Bush???

My buddy and I were attempting to write papers in our study lounge, but it always turns into debates about the Dolphins. And last night I asked him if you had the oppurnity to trade Ronnie Brown for the first overall pick would you? We both came to the conclusion that we would rather keep Ronnie. I mean he has a very good combination of size, speed and power. And i think you all remember the run against KC when he ran over that linebacker and went for the TD. I dont think that Reggie Bush would have been able to do that. I was wonder what other peoples thoughts were on the matter.
 
I guess I'm one of the few that thinks Bush is overrated, at least for the nfl. You're talking about the #1 pick in the draft, and serious doubt whether he can be an every down back.
 
The salary cap alone makes this completely unfeasable but assuming that was not a factor then i'd trade brown for the #1 no doubt, bush and ricky would be an incredible combo of explosive playmaking and rugged grind it out running if we didn't have ricky then there is perhaps more debate as brown is clearly better suited to the load carrier role
 
bush v.s brown is like comparying payton v.s sanders ,2 complete different players
 
Im not saying this would ever happen. It totally hypothetical. But we believe that Ronnie will be more successful in the NFL than Reggie. I personally dont think Reggie is the best back in the draft. I would take DeAngelo over him.
 
I wonder how the new news about Reggie's family's "home" will impact his reputation. It will, of course, have no impact on where he's drafted in the NFL, since it's just an NCAA rules infraction, but I still think it'd be funny if they made him ineligible for 2005, meaning that the Trojans were winless instead of just losing the National Championship game :)
 
Im not saying they are the same type of player. But im talking about this team. Who would you rather have as your feature back??
 
I love Ronnie, but Reggie is one in a million. who would do that trade??

we havent seen bush play an nfl down
 
Bush might of not made that Kansas City run a TD, but he would of made that run against the Carolina Panthers a TD.

I really like Ronnie Brown but Reggie Bush is a freak.
 
I'd keep Ronnie, Reggie is/was a great college player. Totally unkown what he'll do in the NFL, lots of Heisman trophy winners turned out to be busts in the NFL, paritvularly running backs. Has more to do with the quality of the OL than anything else.

Ronnie we know has the skills, size and speed. And he can catch the ball well, unknown if Reggie can do that in the NFL.

Ronnie came up limp on that run against Car. That was the play that eventually led him to miss the last two games of the season. Otherwise he would have scored for sure. Bush is good, just not a feature back in the NFL. Mark my words Ronnie will be in the same category as Edge, Tiki, LT in a few years. Reggie Bush will get his carries and do well but will never become an elite runner in the NFL. He did too much juking in college which he wont get away with in the NFL. Not enough of a power back, like Ronnie, Shaun, Edge, and Tiki. Lacks the breaking tackle ability.
