Im just curious I see alot o f people backing Ronnie Brown in his decision to not sign a contract and to ensure that he gets his fair market value. But at the same time I see all these people criticizing T.O for wanting renegotiate his contract for more money isnt it a similar. I mean at least T.O has proven that he is worth the money. Just want to hear people thoughts on the 2 situations. I dont want to hear about T.O's personality because we all know that his personality is not his strong point but playing football in the NFL is.

To answer your question, yes, I will be quite pissed if he holds out for a renegotiated deal next season after signing that fat $22 million signing bonus.

I think T.O. is right, and ronnie is wrong...

interesting, I see T.O. is totally 100% wrong and Ronnie is pretty much right even though I don't agree.

The difference is TO signed a contract and doesnt want to honor it. I do not understand how these professional athletes hold out. At the time of the contract they got paid and then a few years later they *****.

How about when a team cuts a player for cap purposes? are they honoring their part of the contract? And no, the difference is (and i may sound like a bills fan, so i apologize right away) ronnie is an unproven rookie, and t.o. is a pro bowler.

Terrell Owens JUST signed his contract last YEAR. He did get market value. Especially considering he is a headache and a distraction. If he didn't like the contract that he signed with the Eagles, he shouldn't have signed it. But now that he did he should honor it. I guarantee you this: No other team will pay him more than he is making now. His character has driven his "fair market value" WAY down. Fair market value goes both ways -not just for the player. And Owens has really hurt his personal market value.
As for Ronnie: He hasn't shown us anything. Sign your contract and PROVE yourself. Earn your money. That goes for all rookies in my book. They are way over-paid. They shoul dhave to prove themselves first. $19 million? Is that not enough guaranteed money? Come on!!

TO signed a contract that was below what he deserved because he demanded for a trade and wasnt doing amazing. He was in no room to make an arguement to make more money. HE SIGNED THE CONTRACT the eagles gave him agreeing to the terms. Ronnie on the other hand hasnt signed yet because he doesnt want to make the mistake of signing for lower. Now dont get me wrong i think its ridicuous on both of their parts to demand more when ronnies guranteed money will be more than i earn in a life time, but i fell Ronnie is more right in doing his than TO since TO made a legal agreement.

A few years? T.O. signed last year and what bothers the average fan like me is - how many jobs allow you to sit out from work one year into a contract regardles of the amount and not come back until your boss gives you a raise because you did better than you thought you would.

Hey look everybody it's Drew Rosenhaus.

The player agreed to a contract knowing full well the team could cut them at certain points. If the player doesn't put contract language in there to protect himself (guarenteed payments etc) then it's his own bloody fault. This is the contract style the NFL and the NFLPA agreed to.

Players are Millionaires, if they are cut, they leave with enough money to get them though life (if they are smart) until they find a better job or another team to play for. The common man and woman, will work for far far far less, and their boss can also get rid of them when they want, but unlike the rich athlete, they will not have enough money waiting for them to get them through the tough time while they are looking for another job.

TO signs a HUGE contract. Then gets the nice guy DREW. Drew tells TO he can get him more, TO holds out. That's a *******.

Ronnie is a rookie, top 2 pick, and has to go buy the market. That info is just coming out, thus the hold out.
