Ronnie Brown will carry more times than you thought!

Oh man, how delicious would a 40+ yard touchdown run be?

Especially if he blew up someone to break free.

I don't like this move by Saban. It's a sign of weakness, to me. Stick to what you know is best for the long term success of the franchise.

Then again, Huizenga may have leaned on him in the wake of what could be our first home blackout in quite a while...

i think the fact that we dont hit in practice makes a difference here... so hes only got popped like 15 times or so so far... now getting him hit over 25 times in one game could pay a toll.... i dont think its so much about injuries, but more about fatigue and getting used to the workload...

he can get hurt on his first carry or his 25th, you cant prevent that... i think its more about him being in proper football shape to handle over 20 carries

Fact: You do what you must do to win. I think Ronnie Brown fits into that equation more than people think.

“He's going to have to carry a little more than maybe he's ready for,'' Saban said. “We're very pleased with his development, but in the absence of Ricky, we're going to lean on him a little more than we would like to."

More than 20?
what does that really mean?? lack of confidence in Brown, or a hint at an unbalanced offense, with more running than passing??

Neither, it means Brown will play more cause Ricky is not around to spell him.

Brown will still split some time with Morris but our offense is going to be good, Brown will put up like 20 rushes, 100 yards, 2 rec., 30 yards, and 2 TD

IMO Saban likes to split times with the running backs. He's saying RB will get more than the usual split. I think it shows a great deal of confidence in RB.

All depends on the score whether Ronnie gets more carries imo.

I see them (Ronnie & Sammy) going 60/40. #23 will get even more load if he can stand up to the blitzes (blocking.) We're gonna see an awful lot of those LBs coming in full throttle, so as long as he doesn't miss many assignments, Ronnie should get the work load. I think THAT will be Ronnie's 1st challange
