He's not worth four strands from a mop. Ronnie Brown symbolizes every strategic mistake this franchise has made for the past decade and beyond. A running back who redshirted in college and stayed a full 5 years is by definition not a great player. Classic case of someone who was rated properly as a second round pick during his senior season then the scouts and draftniks ridiculously over valued a handful of games late in his career, and the workouts. Consequently we got stuck with someone who was not a feature back and would never return #2 value. He's the equivalent of our stadium, and I always shudder to compare anything to that monstrosity.
Brown had a nice yards per carry average for most of his career but the majority of his huge gains were instant breakaways with nary a defender in sight, yet Ronnie always found a way to fall shy of the end zone.
I've been grinning ever since we got rid of him. Actually, that's not true. I'd all but forgotten the name, and this OP should be reprimanded for disturbance.
