Its ok that you answered but I was really curious how a hardcore Auburn fan like the threadstarter would answer that......someone that saw every game.

Thanks for giving me the OK to answer!

Man, you would have to ask that. It's like asking which one of your kids do you like better. I feel like I could close my eyes, spin around and pick blindly and would end up with a phenomenal back. Carnell has so much desire and intensity and it is very contagious on the field. He is so positive and works so hard. When he is on the field, you know that on any given run, he can take it to the house. He is a true game breaker. I never got that feeling with Ronnie...the part about him taking it to the house on any given play...but that's not a bad thing. The thing about Ronnie is he is so dang consistent. You know that when you had the ball off to #23 that he is NOT going down unless the whole team is tackling him. I was just re-watching the AU/VT game the other night and it was amazing to watch Ronnie...he had 2 or 3 guys hanging on him trying to drag him down and he just keeps plowing ahead. I swear there are times when he had guys hanging on him and he would end up getting 5-8 more yards just because he kept peddling. The other great thing about Ronnie is his focus is 2nd to none. When he is on the field, he doesn't make many mistakes. He knows his assignments and carries them out well. What's fun to watch is when his assignment has nothing to do with him carrying the ball. He still plays at 100% on those plays, which makes the actual play itself have that much more of a chance to work. This might be the longest paragraph ever. To answer the question, I don't honestly know. I will say this though...as long as Ronnie is Ronnie, there won't be a day when you wish you had drafted Carnell instead of Ronnie.

C'mon brother, honestly, you are the GM and your on the clock, Cadilac and Ronnie are still on teh board and you need a runningback.......who do you take? (Don't be afraid to answer honestly here)

I didn't mean it like that dude, don't take offense, it just struck me that I was really curious how an Auburn fan viewed these two backs and which way they would lean if they were doing the picking.

No offense taken.....innocent sarcasm doesn't always transmit well

Ok, I'd take Ronnie. But I hate to say that, because it's not like I think he is that much better than Caddy. However, I think in the end Ronnie might make a better career back. He's so big and strong and is so fast.

I think that's an honest evaluation. My preference was Caddy. You hinted toward my reasoning in your post. When asked why he teed it so high, Jack Nicklaus sarcastically replied he had discovered air offers less resistance than dirt. Likewise, air will offer less resistance than 240 pound NFL LBs. Caddy can deke at any level. I'm unconvinced Ronnie will bowl anyone over in the big leagues, at least not enough to make up for the lack of lateral ability and therefore home run potential. I'll be more than thrilled to be 100% wrong.

I know that Ronnie has yet to play a down in the NFL, but let me tell you guys something, you are in for a treat. Ronnie is going to blow you guys away and I am so pumped to be able to continue to watch him. Some Auburn fans will tell you that Carnell should have started over Ronnie, but just as many (if not more) would have said that Ronnie should have started over Carnell. I love 'em both and we were in a win-win situation last year. Carnell has some phenomenal moves, better than Ronnie, but Ronnie's sense of balance and pure power and speed was just the most incredible thing to watch. There were times when I would just beg to leave Ronnie in the game because he is the type of back that can just will your team to win.

Another thing--wait 'til you see him as a receiver. Some people were saying that he had the best hands in the draft. If you find any videos of him as a receiver, you will see what I am talking about.

I am just posting this to say that you are not getting an average back. He is going to be absolutely incredible. If you haven't seen any of his great runs at Auburn, you should find some. They will give you chill bumps. The Fins have a new fan because of Mr. Brown.
AWESOME MAN WELCOME ABOARD I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM RUN OVER TY LAW........... :D
