No he is not.
He has gotten practice reps with the 1st teamers but he is behind almost everyone on the depth chart. Making him #6 right now (as of 8/22, 4 days ago). I think alot of his practice time is due to his versatility as he is working as a receiver and blocker as well. Very HBack-esque.
They are trying to force feed him as much as they can with the main team to try and get to him to 2nd string status. While I agree with Nublar that he may indeed be in the starting lineup come opening day, as of now its not going to be the tailback spot. But 'hopefully" that might change with another 2 weeks of practice. This week ended the individual drills part of practice. Which he probably needed all the reps he could get.
Tonight is a rather BIG preseason game for him.
