Heard alot of rumors that he was not starting the game for us,just wondering if anyone else heard the same.On the official website they have him listed as the starting rb.

I think most of us knew he'd start. It does tick me off a little though that he will probably only get 10 to 15 carries since Saban is still easing him into action after he missed 3 weeks of training camp. I'm happy that the Dolphins managed to negotiate a contract that is a bit less painful than one would think for a #2 pick, and I'm happy that the 3 week negotiating process contained no acrimony or public battles in the press...but Ronnie missing 3 weeks is going to hurt our chances of winning the first game of the season.

The less Sammy Morris plays, the better for the Dolphins....no offense....

15 carries, you gotta be kidding me!He's never going to get in football shape give the man atleast 20 carries DAMN!

I'm hoping Saban is just SAYING he is only going to give Ronnie 10-15 carries. I'm hoping for more like 20 carries and a few catches.

I'm OK with 10 - 15 carries as long as he gets 7 - 10 catches too.

Ya he'd better get plenty of work while he's fresh. Ricky will handle it at the end of the year.

Get use to it man. Ronnie will probably finish with at most 15 carries, but he'll definitely get some action in the passing game, especially when we start bringing in Sammy Morris or Jesse Chatman in place of Ronnie.

It takes some time for guys to get in rythm especially at r.b.,give the man some time.I like Saban but you always play the best players on your team.Hell he should have played him more during preseason if thats the case! Ease him into the game,c'mon man please! That is just stupid.

Saban is not the kind of guy to say something and then go out and just completely cave in and give Ronnie 25 carries because he looks ok during the game. If Saban says that it is part of the plan to only get Ronnie 10 to 15 carries in order to ease him into the NFL pounding after his 3 week holdout, that is the plan that Saban is going to execute.

Dave Wannstedt, on the other hand, would say he will only give Ronnie 10 to 15 carries, but then during the game if Ronnie looked good he'd end up with probably 32 carries.

Anyone notice that Minor is #2 on the depth chart in front of Morris?

Its not so much as the rushes he gets but the total plays that he will be featured in.I think 25 total plays is not too much to expect.

25 touches would surprise the heck out of me. 25 plays would not.

I had not noticed Minor ahead of Morris on the depth chart, but I like it. I do not have that high an opinion of Morris as a true runner. I think he could be a good role player though, we just need to find his role.

I think he's built for 30 carries.

I just don't see him getting only 15 carries. 23-25 sounds right to me.

He's an Hummer. They only make beast SUVs.

Got the name for a reason.

I don't think Chatman will play on offense because of pass protection & lack of playbook knowledge. Brown will get 15 & Minor & Morris will each get 5.
