Ronnie May Miss Rest of Year

who the he** wants larry johnson im not wondering at all why we didnt make a run at him what a stupid article

i dont trust any "league source". you know, ones like c mortenesen who said porter will not play this week.

as for us signing johnson, i guess we shouldve used the crystal ball for browns injury because it was reported that johnson was already signing w/ the bengals last weekend.

I agree, he's kidding himself if he thinks any of us fans were hoping for Larry Johnson. Obviously it will hurt losing Ronnie, but I think we have enough capable backs on this team were it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Ricky seems capable of handling more work and Hilliard looked good in preseason. It will hurt the wildcat snaps though because Ronnie was the best at running it.

As far as his injury, I'm really getting worried. They haven't said much yet, big news there, but there are unverified rumors popping up of a lisfranc fracture. That thread is elsewhere and maybe means nothing, but has anyone got anything else? If that is it, he will be done for the year and that stinks.

Ok. Thus far we've heard:

-Ronnie could play Thursday (false)
-Ronnie won't play Thursday (true)
-Ronnie will miss Thursday but be ready for Buffalo in a week and a half (rumor)
-Ronnie will miss 3-6 weeks because we have an expert doctor posing as a Finheaven poster (rumor)
-Ronnie is out for the season (rumor)

Did I cover it all? I think I'll wait till the team officially announces it.

Somebody might want to let Ronnie know that he is expected to miss the rest of the year. From what i gather he says he feels fine and i could see him out till the NE game but like you guys i need to hear from the CS's mouth that he is done before i believe anything

if hes out for the season thats a shame, he was on his way to having another pretty good season...hopefully hes back in a couple of weeks but if not i have confidence in Ricky to handle the load. He took years off so he doesnt have the usual wear n tear of a 32 year old running back. He didnt take the abuse on his body for those years, hes still in good shape and looks like hes still running at a high level. It will hurt to lose Ronnie, obviously, but stuff happens and youve got to play on....at least weve got Ricky whos still potentially a top back in the NFL.

No you missed something. I believe this "foot injury" is terminal. I like Ronnie but when I watch the video I just can't imagine anyone living through that. Ronnie will be missed.

I don't even think Ronnie knows his own status since he's seeing a specialist today.

Why do all the classy, professional players get the bad luck. First Pennington, and now Ronnie.

Losing Patrick Cobbs earlier this year just hurts even more now.

Like SpaceMountain already said...we are in BIG trouble if he is lost for the season. You can love Ricky all you want...losing one of your two best offensive players hurts BAD.
