damn some good days for rookies have him off the ballot even with his 100 yd performance... im guessing marion barber will win it but i was suprised ronnie wasn't even a nominee...

and as for the rookie of the month, here are my guesses for the leading candidates

Ronnie Brown
57 car 320 yds 5.6 ypc 2 TDs - 12 rec 90 yds

Kyle Orton
64-111 58% comp 609 yds 5 TDs 1 int 84.3 QB Rating and a 3-1 Record

Heath Miller
17 rec 184 yds 5 TDs

i think ortons record and TD-INT ration might give it to him... also heaths only hope is those 5 TDs... but i guess we'll find out soon

Man, that chart makes it seem like Ronnie doesn't even have a shot at OROY.

Ronnie needs more TDs as well as yards to be the ROY

Barber should get it he had a heck of a game

If Ronnie (and the team for that matter) is able to continue to progress each game on a similar rate he will be in the mix at the end of the season. But I actually like the fact that he has been able to remain low profile with regard to the national media these last several weeks. I was becoming concerned with the negative hype earlier in the season.

Still, if he really wanted to get some quick PR he needs to run over a Falcons LB next week a la Bo Jackson / Bosworth. I haven't seen him completely run over somebody yet (though I know he can do it)...would love to see that.

Orton was a great find in the 3rd round... Too bad we didnt pick him up. I am just happy that Ronnie Brown is running the ball with a purpose now. It's going to be scary if we can keep Ricky and Ronnie together for a couple more years.

honesty i could care less... let him keep running well, and winning games.

It's kind of irritating though. I watch the shows in ESPN and they still talk about Cadillac Williams. Umm...who has more yards now? It's like ok...he had 3 good games and that's it let's forget about everyone else.

Yesterday they predicted that CW will win rookie of the year. Last I checked...Ronnie has more TDs than Cadillac too!

I'm not saying Ronnie should win ROY...I'm just saying that there's no way in HELL that Cadillac should win it over him.

Ronnie isn't getting attention because he isn't scoring touchdowns and is sharing the backfield with Ricky, who's story completely dwarfs any of Ronnie's accomplishments when it comes to sports media.

What does it really matter if he wins ROY or any award like it? If he plays well, it should translate to us winning games. That's why they play the game, so they can win.

Winning is everything

i've yet to see one highlight of ronnie brown (except for nub's vid) from the game. only ricky ricky ricky. that's why

In truth, he hasn't deserved to win it most weeks. The only week where I think he deserved to win it was Carolina. But Caddy also had like 145 yards and broke rookie records.
He also got a huge amount of publicity for it and Ronnie was nowhere to be seen.

He sure as hell did make the Chiefs look silly on that long run he had last Friday. It wasn't a complete trainwreck hit but it got the job done
