I sat down and relized that ronnie not getting 1000 yds this season could be a good thing this year cause the great Emmit Smith didn't rush for 1000 yds is rookie year neither and look how great he was.

o.j. simpson and marcus allen had 697 yards each in their rookie seasons, and walter payton had 679. john riggins had 769. franco harris had 698 his second year. bizzare and useless facts

dont be so sure i no it iv very likely it wont happen but think bout it if ronnie does play and sees limited carries bt breaks off a 60 or 70 yd run for a td that puts him in a good situation to cross so even tho itts very unlikely it is still possible

Or it can be a bad thing. Maybe Brown will be upset with his lack of carries and ask for more (I think he has a contract escalator at 1,300 yards).

William Green didnt have 1000 yds his rookie year and look how much he sucks.

not saying Ronnie Brown suck, just saying it works both ways. Ronnie is Ronnie it would be great if he had a career as good as Emmits but kinda silly to compare the two of them. The only thing they have in common is that the both play hb.

Oh come on thats saying that if Emmit Smith had 1000 rushing yards he wouldnt have been as good

So say 'Not getting 1000 yards doesnt mean you cant be great'

Not that its a good thing he didnt

Lots of great RB's had more and less than 1000 yards. It's not like your 1st season makes up your career.

Ronnie Will get 1000 he needs like 114 yards
He's questionable and by the way he's been playing, I don't think he'll get 114 yards against the Pats.

Guess who else also didn't get 1000 yards in his first season? Ki-Jana Carter.

Just shows you stats don't mean jack.

if he gets a 1000, i want everyone who says he wouldn't get it to eat their words.

I don't think so. Ronnie Brown is a very unselfish person and handled sharing the load at Auburn with class and it didn't affect him at all. He knows eventually it will be his show. He is a team player and knows that the Miami Dolphins are a stronger team with a Ronnie and Ricky 1-2 punch.

Brown might not get 1,000 next year either. Ricky will be available for the entire year, and he`s going to get just as many touches per game as Ronnie.

Ronnie would had a 1,000 if it wasnt for the sharing of carries with ricky williams but he had a good rookie season and should improve
