Broncos | Bailey to continue to wear harness
Fri, 7 Jul 2006 23:12:38 -0700
Jeff Legwold, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports Denver Broncos CB Champ Bailey (shoulder) played virtually all of the 2005 season wearing a harness on his injured left shoulder. It appears he will continue to wear the shoulder harness in 2006. "There are things you can do to make it better," Bailey said. "But the more banging I do, the worse it's going to get. It's not going to improve any; it's going to stay the same or get worse. So I'll probably keep wearing it." "I can play with it again. I'll be ready to go," Bailey said.

I thought he would be healed up by now, but it shows you we got a beast in the backfield.:dolphins::dolphins::dolphins::dolphins::dolphins::dolphins::dolphins:

RB is gonna put the hurt on many more DB's....it will be nice to see what he can do once he gets the ball full time (25-30+ carries a game).

Ronnie is a beast! Good effort for Champ to get in there and make the tackle but when you tackle a guy like Ronnie your going to have some problems.

yes. If you watch it in slow mo he acts kinna like a defensive lineman when he gets a QB. They drag every inch of their body's across the pinned opponent, all the way to their toes if they can. Ronnie DROVE Champ into the dirt, grinding him all the way across...a thing of beauty. You could see as the year progressed the db's were hitting lower and lower, eventually letting RB hurdle them. Those guys watch film and they see what the opponent is all about. To take this guy on high at a full run is to put your career in jeopardy. Ronnie attacks the tackler and not just to punish him. Sometimes it is to defeat him and his tackle and continue. He brings a load. Imagine for a minute what is going to happen if our o-line actually opens some holes and he gets into the defensive backfield under a full head of steam...who is their best cover guy??? run Ronnie Brown at him for three quarters and by the fourth, not only will he be whiffing tackles, he will be so dinged our receivers will beat them because they can't keep up any more. IMO.. it was not just the versatility of Ronnie that made him so attractive to Nick, it was that every so often, like when Carnell went down, he took over. Absolutely dominated and punished the other team. "I" think, we will see that here. Men, I am SO excited. We are about to become a PHYISICAL team...it has been a long time...

o i know what you mean.i played cb to in my middle school years.you just pray they dnt lower there shoulders:lol:

Ronnie trucked him. Wonder who he will put the hurtin' on this season.... my guess.. EVERYONE!

Thanks for the hit on Champ, now Philip Rivers can take advantage of him (I hope) I never played CB when I play football, but I have been in many of those 1 on 1 situations, the only worse situation is when they are returning a kickoff and you are the last guy there.

I don't like the thought of people going at Ronnie's knees though. We need a real back up!!

That's all coachable. Ronnie needs to learn to lower his shoulders like Ricky Williams does when he gets tackled.
