OK, now that this is looking like it's really going to happen, it's time to start drooling at the possibilities (this is all assuming that Ricky can get his crap together). I can't remember a team ever having a tandem like this.

How do you think they're going to line up? I can think of some formations that will have the defense back on their heels:

1. Ronnie at HB and Ricky at FB. Ricky played fullback his first 2 years at Texas and was extremely productive. Can you see the QB faking the handoff to Ricky left and giving the ball to Ronnie left? (OK, it's a little collegiate, but what the hey)

2. Split formation. Having both lined up at HB would be nice

3. Sending either one (especially Ronnie) in motion and lining up as a WR. Who's going to cover him? A LB? Forget it. A safety? Bring it on. It will open up the passing game.

Hopefully Linehan can figure out a way to get both of them on the field at the same time.

I really don't see option number one happening much at all. I could see a lot of #2 and #3 though. Should be exciting. :)

What the heck, time to post the Ricky and Ronnie's Diner pics again. :D

Since they are both good blockers as well as, obviously, runners, I like the idea of them lining up in the backfield together. Both have experience at FB, which means either one could block for the other on any given play. That was the way it was when Csonka and Kiick lined up together. Either could be the blocker, or runner, when Butch and Sundance lined up split backs.

I love the diner pic. Hadn't seen that before. Besides TD's they'll also be serving up:

Buffalo Burgers
New England Clam Chowda
Cooked John AbrahaHAM

I agree Nub. #3 is the real good possibility (most likely to see and most likely to cause trouble for defenses) and #2 is next. Kind of a countdown list I guess! Good possibilities if RW is ready to play.

i just hope we have a line to block for them.

That's why I think the possibility #3 with Ronnie catching underneath vs. linebackers will be a big plus. But Houck will have the line at least fairly ready I hope, especially as the season goes on. Patience we must have.

I can say that bills fans were saying the EXACT same thing last year and look how that panned out. It might work out great for the dolphins but I am just saying what looks good on paper doesn't always translate into production.

All throughout his coaching career, Nick has used multi-backs. He'll have a starter, (Ronnie), but someone else always gets carries. (Ricky.)

Ricky's probably only here for a year or so anyway.
