Who would you say is the most powerful back in the NFL? Honestly, I think Ronnie might be, given that Jerome Bettis might FINALLY be a little too old to be considered here.

Among the guys on this list I would consider Stephen Davis, Lamont Jordan, Jamal Lewis, Mike Anderson, TJ Duckett, maybe Reuben Droughns (he did look powerful).

Ronnie seems to get tackled by no single man. What is sad is Ricky clearly USE to be on this list, but isn't close to it anymore.

If you can find Nublar's highlight videos, check out Ronnie's run in the 4th quarter with 8:39 left to play in the Browns game. I literally counted 8 tacklers that got a hand on Ronnie before he finally went down. EIGHT TACKLERS! Now, some of them were repeats, you know a guy that got his hand on Ronnie in the backfield but missed them went back for more later...but still man. EIGHT.

God. I watch that play over and over, and can't get over it.

RONNIE RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, at least that's one thing regarding the Phinz we can all be proud of today....

PHINZ RULE!!!

I think it's Jamal Lewis when he's totally healthy, but Ronnie will be up there with him someday soon. I think Ronnie is still figuring out what he can and can't do on an NFL football field. But the main point is correct IMO -- I don't think I've seen a play all year where he got past the LOS without his tackler going backwards.

With the season going as it is im just glad he ours!!

Rudi Johnson needs to be on that list, Rudi and Ronnie the 2 most powerful every down backs in the league.

there are many things you can say to describe Ronnie's run style... i do not think Power, is one of them.

It is a really tight race between Jamal Lewis and Ronnie Brown, IMO, as far as ability to break tackles goes. Mike Alstott can break one tackle pretty consistently maybe even more so than Ronnie, but he'll never string together 7 broken tackles because of his speed limitations. Bettis could do that back in the day, doubt he could do it now. Jamal Lewis could definitely do it during his 2000+ yard rushing year (and did do it, against the Browns too).

But as of RIGHT NOW. Jamal Lewis take him as he is now, Mike Anderson, Reuben Droughns, Mike Alstott, Jerome Bettis, Lamont Jordan, TJ Duckett, Stephen Davis...honestly RIGHT NOW, Ronnie is the most powerful back in the NFL, capable of slipping the most tackles.

Have you seen all of his runs? or just the few they show on the highlights. he has a great power running game. he fights for first downs and breaks tackles.

Well, then I guess you haven't been watching Miami's games.

Well, I view Ronnie as a Eddie George in his prime....I just hope he lasts alot longer
