We're playing the Panthers with arguably the best defensive line in football, paired with Dan Morgan who has the flair to stay on the ball carrier like Zach can and a deftly talented secondary.

My question is....will Ronnie Brown realistically do anything sensational against these guys? If so, what do you guys predict?

Ronnie Brown's performane next week will be judged according to how many blocks/chips he lays on Julius Peppers.

Expect him to line up to the left a majority of the time.

Until our O-line starts opening up some holes I wouldn't expect Ronnie, or Morris, or Ricky Williams to produce too much.

dude, they totally shut down Corey Dillon yesterday, they can play. Ronnie will have to break out in week 4

Not unless the OL does their job. That has been more of RBs and Morris' problems than their talent levels.

And as you said, the Panthers have a really talented D...the DL is probably the best in football and the secondary is very talented...their rook safety Thomas Davis is phenomenal. ( I live in the Charlotte area and got to see all of their preseason games). The pressure that their DL puts on opposing OLs, it frees this guy up to blitz and roam, and he has a knack for the being in the right place at the right time..

But, to answer your question, the key for our RBs is the OL...

he might not get to do much vs carolina. Heck, he has faced two really good front 7's and now faces what most say is the best front 7 in the nfl. I dont expect Ronnie to gash them but he has to run to keep the secondary honest and give gus time to throw.

I think Ronnie will have his best game because I have a feeling he knows he needs to hit wholes hard this week because there won't be many of them. I don't think he will have a 100 yard game or anything like that I just think he will have a solid game probly averging about 3.5 yards a carry. I know this might not make sense because he has been averaging under 3 yards a carry but I think he will show improvement against a really good Defense.

Yup, I actually havent been suprised by how he has played. He has HUGE upside but when you dont start in collage and miss most of camp I think you have to expect some growing pains. He does seem to be blocking well though.

that's about the only time he will considering that's our bye week. After that it only gets worse, at Buffalo then at Tampa Bay.
:( :( :(

damn brutal schedule isnt it? hopefully the fish faithful realize the difficulty of our schedule. i believe it was touted as THE toughest schedule in the nfl this year. no honeymoon for saban in his inaugral season as fishhead! keep the faith my brothers, he will rebuild our once proud franchise though, this will not be a glorious year...i am hoping for 8-8 with a marked improvement at the end of the year. GOOOOOO PHINS!

You are right but....

NE was playing behind for most of the game....

and our beloved Fins are home again!

So... IMHO: it wont be such a terrible mis-match!

J.Peppers. is an awesome player. We need V Carey to step up and hopefully level out the playing field a bit. We will need a productive offense... and penalty free (or alot less) game on both side of the ball!!

Let hope that they are a bit laxed after a big win over NE.

No he can't do it against the Jets well why would he do something agains someone goood.

I tought it was Miami vs carolina not Ronnie vs carolina's D????
