Draft reports said Ronnie had very soft hands (also stated by Gruden).

Well, his catch on Sunday on 3rd down to keep the drive alive (which ultimately produced a TD), has proved this is correct.

That was a SICK CATCH!!!!

His hands are great!! It looked like he could have caught a raw egg. I new he had good hand but that catch was very impressive :jawdrop: !!!!

the thing that impressed me most was how he picked up the blitz

His ability to catch passes in the clutch will prove to be a tremendous advantage for us as the season goes on. Keeping any drive alive, even if it doesn't end in a TD as that one did, will be very beneficial to our Defense. And if the defense is rested the oppossing O better take cover.

I just said this in another thread, it was an amazing catch to say the least.

 A Chambersesque catch, Not many could have made it. "Big time players make big time plays."

Yeah that was such a big catch at a very key time of the game.....Gus didnt panic either and put some nice loft on it, and then RB just crandled it in with one hand.....I let out a big scream when he made the catch. :)

Must agree that the catch was HUGE on that drive and I also concur, his ability to pick up the blitz like he does as a rookie is HUGE for us. I watched the 1/2 hour game tape this morning on D-TV and I believe with a little better blocking and Ronnie hitting a couple of holes slightly faster he would have had a huge game. All of that will come though...we have to be a little patient with him at least.

I was impressed with Cadillac Williams in Tampa he played well. I will still take Ronnie though!

he impressed me loads...

the catch was sick, and his blocking was fantastic.

i feel the rushing game is probably a bit quick for him still, but over the nxt few weeks it will slow down for him. he's gna be a very good back.

I also agree with the guys that talked about how good he handled the blitz. He's gonna be a great player for our team.I can't wait to see us getting him the ball on some screen passes and out on the flat.If we keep trowing the ball the way we did yesterday then the defences are gonna have to back off and he'll be able to have room to run too.

Ozzy rules!!

Tommy Tuberville said leading up to the draft, that Ronnie was the best reciever on the team. That says a lot right there...Once he is more familiar with the speed of the game and the entire O, he'll be just fine...

Overall I am very glad we drafted Ronnie Brown. He has great hands, speed and did you see the way the rookie blocks. That was awesome. If our line opens up some holes for him or teams go away from stacking 8 in the box, he will get some good solid runs.
