I've been nothing but supportive of Ronnie Brown, but I'm getting tired of his attitude. He's far too happy to be putting up 2 yards and a fumble, regardless of his groin.

When you've got guys with real fire in their bellies putting up 200+ yards on the ground, like Willie Parker and Frank Gore, who were nowhere near 2nd overall draft choices, seeing Ronnie laughing with his buddies despite his 2 yards, and staying on field for what seems like 2 plays in a row at most (not just today, fellas)...this all just bothers me.

I know he's got the physical talent to be one of the best backs in the league, but I am seriously doubting his heart.

EDIT: Post 38

I did not explain myself well enough.

I'm talking about seeing a player suffer a little. When you're sitting on the bench, and you've got two yards, I want to see that you're disappointed in yourself and your performance; that this is not enough and nowhere near the output you expect from yourself.

I can't run against an NFL defense, and doing so isn't going to prove me wrong and suddenly create a perspective with which to relate to Ronnie. It's not about that.

I want to see his fire. I want to see him upset with himself, especially on a day like today. Fellas, this is not his first bad performance, and he's had incredible ones, and incredible effort; but, he's had some bad days. This was a really bad day. And he was smiling all day long.

I don't know. Maybe it was the way Troy Smith (I'm not an Ohio State fan) looked on the bench this weekend. He had 3 touchdowns and he wouldn't even let his well wishers try to cheer him up. Fire. He didn't need support, he's got it self churning inside.

Maybe Ronnie expresses that through smiles in any situation.

I love that he smiles, don't get me wrong, but I've never seen him upset (barring that one broken play yesterday where he got rocked behind the line a second after getting the toss) and yesterday would have been a good day to look a little upset.

Also, I am a season ticket holder and watch him on the sidelines, so in this evaluation, I have a unique perspective (lower bowl, Dolphins sideline).

he had a bad day period but that doesnt mean we should be going for his head again after his last 2 impresive outings, i know thats not what your trying to say but hey we won and i know the rushing game was pathetic today but its really nothing we or he should hang his head over for too long because we dont want that to carry on to future games

Dont mistake his big smile for a lack of fire. Players express it differently. Watch how he pushes a pile when you want to see the fire he plays with.

Ronnie is ALWAYS smiling. Even back in college he was known for his big white smile through his facemask.

He's our best (and most consistent) player on offense. This is the first bad performance he's had in over a month...

Same feeling I have gotten as well. But I do believe we need to give him a FB to run behind. Because he stinks on his own back there.

Just simply look at how hard he runs and how he keeps churning and churning for that extra yard. That's all the heart and fire I need. if that isn't good enough for you then.....

Err that wasnt is fumble. Harrington lost the grip on the football. Id like to see you run with a groin injury against the best Rush defense in the NFL.

What the heck does having a smile have to do with fire? The guy is having fun, but he's a big time competitor as well. Donovan McNabb smiles a lot, and he's a good qb, and plays hard. Carmelo Anthony smiles, or smiled a lot when he played for the Syracuse Orangemen basketball team, and it doesn't affect his performance.

why dont u go out there and run against the best run d in the league with a depleted o line thats ****ty even when its not depleted

I think that's just Ronnie's way of dealing with the pressures of whats going on in the game... people deal with things in different ways...
