Ronnie's first td as an eagle

6 years, 1, 1000 yard season, barely. Yea, the guy was great. Make all the excuses you want to, Ronnie Brown was an average, injury prone running back in the nfl.

Did you say classic Ronnie and one cut in the same sentence? Great guy, gonna miss him, but that was his problem....when it should have been one cut and go it was dance, dance, dance a not go.

Seriously Stang, sometimes I think you and I share the same brain, lol. My sentiments exactly.

First year Ronnie would hit the hole so hard that defenders would comment that he made them sore the next day from his punishing style of running.

Old Ronnie MADE a hole.

For some reason he added dancing and stutterstepping, two things that 1) he is not built for; and 2) he was not good at.

Love ronnie, got the jersey, and wish him well, but I'm not heartbroken he is gone.

I'm just glad we only have to play him once every 4 years (especially if the eagles eliminated the dancing from his repitoire.)

Should I also lament that Troy Vincent left and went to the Eagles? At least he was a worthy first round draft pick. The best organizations recognize that it's a business and when to turn over their rosters. I'm glad the Dolphins dumped the Wildcat and got younger and more versatile at the RB position.

This is one of the many things I HATE this FO for..How do you let Brown walk when he was publicly begggging to come back to Maimi, and then u go out and sign a washed up moron like LJ? WTF!! I know these idiots have made some bone head mistakes but this one takes the cake!! SMFH!

I'm not a huge Ronnie fan, but it's kind of troubling that everyone thinks our running game is instantly improved by getting rid of Ronnie and Ricky. It really doesn't make sense. I'd be surprised if we're a better running team this year.

you're right, we're not going to be a better running team this year. in fact we'll be better because we aren't. passing to reggie and DT is the way to go. a short pass is pretty much a run play anyway.

I'm on board with the folks who had no problem letting Ronnie and or Ricky walk, it was time to move on. However, the Larry Johnson signing is what makes it puzzling to me. You guys can say what you want about Daniel Thomas but there could be truth to the rumors that the Dolphins aren't 100% comfortble with him and brought in Johnson to snatch some of those carries. If that turns out to be the case, than I agree re-signing Ronnie Brown would have made more sense. Unless of course LJ is extremely motivated, rested, looking to be a good citizen and prove a point on a football field. If so we may have gotten the best of the 3, you never know.

True enough. It'll be interesting to see how much of our new Patsies South philosophy Daboll has been able to implement with that shortened offseason. Keeping it on Ronnie, it's a shame that as soon as he leaves we're going to start utilizing RBs in the passing game more. That was a strength of his that was really only utilized by Cam for that short window of time that he was healthy.
