The local paper reports that Ronnie has been playing at abpout 70% effectiveness because of a lingering groin pull from 2 weeks ago (before the Bears game) This would explain his lack of speed that some have commented on. He said he's had difficulty running left which would explain why he didn't run the ball in on the goalline halfback pass. We play Minnesota next week and no one has run on the Vikings. Even though he's obviously a tough guy, I say sit Ronnie and let him heal.

Let's move this to the Dolphins forum and see if maybe you'll get some replies to this one....

I don't know, seems if he can go we sure need him. Sammy is just not getting it done in a backup role. We should be able to trust in team doctors if he's ready or not. We need him.

Ronnie at 70 percent is still better than moriss. I don't think we win w/out him in the lineup.

Na... we got to play Ronnie. Our offense would be even more pathetic without him...

It will be a tough call to make. Minnesota has the best run defense in the league. We have to let Ronnie rest most of the week and see where he's at on Saturday.

I hate groin pulls, I know how bad they can be. I had the most serious of groin injuries a few years ago. I tore my groin off the pelvic bone in a football game a few years ago, and it took me 2 1/2 years just get back to 100% with my cutting and agility without feeling any pain. This year I pulled my other groin, no where near as serious as the previous; but it lingered for about 6-8 weeks. It was more of an annoyance than anything else because they just don't go away quick enough.

They have to make sure he gets plenty of rest and light stretching.

Ronnie is hurt, not injured. Ballers are expected to play hurt.

And he's been doing exactly that! Gotta love that!!!

I have noticed that his breakaway speed has been less than stellar, but now it makes much sense. I hate that he is injured....

Totally agree here. Get him an ice bath and a few massages during the week plus rest. He should be fine.

Strains and soreness are part of the game.

Tough call...I was at the game and they were constantly stretching him out. Thats why morris got more carries than usual. The problem with playing with a groin pull is that you are at risk for a serious tear. Hopefully he can get healed so we can play them darn Vikings...

I don't believe that because against Chicago he didn't look nearly as slow as he did against the Jets. Besides it is football you are supposed to play hurt.

Ronnie has a lot more sources then you had in helping him heal, so I hope he uses them all and gets better soon :D

I believe the Chicago had the number 1 rush defense two weeks ago. I expect Ronnie Brown to step up big time this week too.

the bears have a tough D too .. and he had a career day against them when he was hurt and only missed one series because of it ..

let him play! .. be the guy to humble the vikes!
