Rookie cornerbacks playing like they are promising first year players...

Both Smith and Davis have made some great plays this year. these guys have really stepped up and played well but they are just rookies. Did you really believe that they could cover Moss, TO, B.Edwards, Evans, A. Johnson, etc.? I think these guys will be good for a long time but they are rookies and they will get burned by veterans for the rest of the year. Almost every passing play I see Smith and davis out of place or to far away from there guy. Yes they have both played well and will make some great plays themselves but lets not expect them to be pro bowlers just yet. I say they are both good additions to the new Dolphins. Go Fins.:rimshot:
 
From what I've seen on film, Smith will be more of a shut-down type with Davis being the big-play/turnover guy.
 
Yea i've seen alot out of both of them. Goodman was abused early last season and he recovered well. Smith hasn't been abused and we have played many great QB/WR duos. Vonate should and will get his chance. I believe in him and he has made his fair share of plays as well. Awesome pick ups. I love their intensity.
 
i was hoping to see a big play out of smith, but he looks like he has been solid and i am sure those will come. i love what i have seen from vontae so far, love his tackling and all around physicality
 
me too. i still see vontae being the better player but they should both be a great tandem for years to come. madison and surtain good? i don't see why not.
 
Yeah I like them both. Pretty random thought, but it's kind of embarrassing how some of FH thought Travis Daniels' had a promising rookie season. Daniels never showed anything close to what these two players have this season. Vontae and Smith are both real playmakers.
 
now we need to change our safeties, so we could see what we have with our young secondary
 
Like what I see, but both are still rookies, and expect very little this year outside of progression.

You do realize out of roddy white, michael jenkins, reggie wayne, vincent jackson, TO, lee evans, Braylon Edwards, and Marques Colston, only edwards and colston has scored a TD? and edwards TD was will allens fault. and i don't know who was covering colston on his TD. i try and forget that game. lol

Nate Jones was underneath, and Culver was behind and at top if I remember right.

Well Vontae had the coverage on that outside catch by Edwards to our one yard line.. And they just simply ran it in.

Although it wasn't technically a TD, let's face it, that long pass resulted in a TD.

well it looks like the free safety supposed to come and help over the top.
 
Vontae was running with him and took a bad angle to the inside.

He turned looking for the ball and he was nowhere near it.

The safety help is more for the inside than the sideline.
