Rookie K Dan Carpenter continues to impress

I dont think Jay played bad for us last year.. But if this kid is good why not we need some youth... Let em battle it out over the preseason
 
Wow. Never thought Carpenter would be doing such a good job. Although I admire Jay Feeley's accuracy, I've always been concerned with his kicking power.

From a business standpoint, his salary is way cheaper than Jay Feeley's..

I remember when the Dolphins released Ed Perry in Favor of John Denney, well the same scenario could happen with the kickers..
 
Jay Feeley was excellent for the Dolphins last year, except on kickoffs. If this Carpenter kid has a leg good enough to kick it further than the twenty yard line every time on kickoffs, it's worth carrying two kickers on the roster.

try one of the most accurate kickers last year
 
If Carpenter is legit, it would be sweet to get a draft pick for Feely similar to how we did with Olindo and Feely should be worth a lil more.
 
Carpenter has been more reliable on FG's so far in training camp than Feely. I'd rather have an extra receiver with potential on the roster than two K's.. especially if both those K's are good.

Camp = Camp

Feeley couldn't have been much better in actual GAMES last year.
