A lot of quotes and insight into many of the rookies that I felt like were extremely underrated prospects, and surefire solid pro's....
Studs:
Denarius Moore --- "Putting on a clinic so far in camp. Hasn't missed a single opportunity as the Raiders training camp stud. May end up starting for the Raiders as a rookie opposite Jacoby Ford, as Heyward-Bey has been a dud"....
Kendall Hunter --- "The battle for the backup RB job behind Gore has been like a heavyweight prize fight between Hunter and 2nd year back Anthony Dixon".. (one of the backs I really liked in last year's draft)
Ronald Johnson --- "He's shown solid hands, crisp routes, and he's emerged as a receiver worth taking note of. Works his way further up the depth chart everyday"...
Aldon Smith --- "Continues to impress with his pressure on the QB, and with his long arms, he bats down passes with ease. On his current pace, he could very well earn himself a starting job soon"....
Randall Cobb --- "Showing explosiveness and versatility early on. Nice, nice player".....
Davon House --- "Really started to come on until a hamstring injury. Probably won a job in dime packages with the potential for more"....
Derek Sherrod --- "Playing him at left guard, but he's a natural tackle. Think we have a keeper"....
Mark Ingram --- "The kid is a freakin' tank out there! Saints haven't had a back of his physicality since Deuce in his prime. He's catching on fast and has been running with the 1's. Makes decisive cuts and seems to love contact. His immediate burst is amazing. I know his 40 time wasn't spectacular, but when he comes through the hole he comes through like a freight train. This guy's vision and balance is incredible"....
Johnny Patrick --- "He shows good awareness, fluid hips, and proving that he's capable of sticking his nose in there for the tackle. Gregg Williams is throwing a lot at him, so you can tell his head is spinning... but he's taking it all in stride and coming along nicely. Running with the 1's since Tracey Porter is out with a knee injury"....
Cam Jordan --- "He's only been in camp a few days, but watching this kid makes me wonder how he fell to #24. He's catching on fast and has been flat out abusing some of the 2nd and 3rd string offensive linemen. He shows good hustle getting to the ball, and real damn physical once he gets there"....
Akeem Ayers --- "Has been a force. Best linebacker in training camp. In fact, it's Ayers who has cemented himself as a starter on the strongside, leaving veterans Will Witherspoon and Gerald McRath (both starters last year) battling it out for the WLB spot"....
A.J. Green --- "Nobody in Bengals camp has been able to cover him 1-on-1, and he's made some Randy Moss type grabs out there. His quarterbacks have been sporadic"....
Jurrell Casey --- "Beating the sh*t out of our interior offensive linemen"....
Johnny White --- "Does a little bit of everything... and does it all well"....
Julio Jones --- "May already be the most impressive player at Falcons training camp... even more explosive off the ball than they thought" - Mike Mayock
"This kid is the real deal. He's the best incoming receiver I've ever played with. Come to think of it, it's not even close". - Tony Gonzalez
Delone Carter --- "He's earned praise for being the kind of strong, fast, bruising inside runner the Colts thought he would be when they drafted him. Hasn't shied away from contact.... driven through tacklers... and is deceptively quick. Carter is a 5'9" guy made of nothing but muscle"....
Drake Nevis --- "Nevis has not disappointed. He's tore it up in the towel pass rushing drills, kid has a great burst. He's getting solid penetration from his defensive tackle position even in the two-on-one drill"...
"Nevis immediately in the backfield again", has been the most 'tweeted' phrase of Colts training camp. Followed by, "He's a beast"...
Marcel Dareus --- "He works so hard and is so far above his years in the way that he uses his hands... he's doing it". - Chris Kelsay
"I'm seeing exactly what I though I would see. He moves so fast for his size. It's amazing. Reminiscent of a young Bruce Smith, except bigger" - Chan Gailey
