I saw that too, probably want him as a solid back up for a long period of time.

The Jets would be the best situation for him, maybe the Bengals too because their starters are injured/injury prone.

not bad at all..

the problem in having Sage is that the "Sage is our savior!!!" threads wouldn't go away

If a deal is made quickly for a starting caliber Qb which would basically be Brees or Culpepper, then keeping Sage would be a good idea. If Sage is gone, don't worry i'm sure that a bunch of "Cleo Lemon is our savior!!" threads will come up.

true that

but I agree, Sage proved to be a good backup for us last year

where ever he goes i wish him the best. When we did need him he steped in. Good Luck!

Sage seems like a good guy, I wish him the best anywhere he goes...outside of the AFC East of course...

Hope Sage lands a starter's job in the NFC so we don't have to face him....he deserves a shot.

Noone can say for sure if Sage is anything beyond a backup because he has never had a fair chance to shine. He has started two games one against one of the better defenses and one against Cleveland that they still was trying to play Frerotte in. When he came on in relief he shined at times and I'm a firm believer that it is no easier to face a team coming off the bench than it is to start against them. Its not like teams quit playing defense, many times they blitz to rattle the new guy and if the score gets tied as the Buffalo game did, I'm sure they try to play defense at that point. we shall miss ya Sage, hell we never really knew ya. I'm not sure what we had to lose the last week of the season by playing him but oh well. Im not one that says Sage is savior but he was no worse than Frerotte.
