Rosenhaus: Don't Judge McMichael

This post is just rediculous. I bleed aqua and orange just like any other tried and true 'Fins fan...it has nothing to do with his team affiliation (other than the fact that it is how I was made aware of it). This is just another example of the NFL employing another dangerous thug. I'm sorry, but anyone who could hit a pregnant woman has a dangerous anger problem. You want to act like it was no big deal, that's your choice, but the statistics and facts on domestic violence are not in your favor...not even close. Will Randy kill his wife? Probably not. Could he? Statistics show it is more than possible. To approach it in any other way is ignorant or irresponsible.

It is also probable that she is the abuser. It is also probable that she will kill Randy. It is also probable that she is the instigater of the altercations. It is also possible that she will get kill her baby if she gets depressed. During the first incident, SHE HIT HIM. Repeatly. There she is a pregnant flower punching a man who is more than twice her size and strength.

I would like to hope that Randy's status as a pro player and team ties would have nothing to do with this type of situation, too. I'd hate to see a Bills player in the situation, and I would want him to take the affirmative steps to make things right just as I want Randy to do so. That said, it was a Bills fan who started up with the predictions about Randy murdering his wife next year, carrying this way over the top. If that was such a concern, I assure you that the initial reports of domestic abuse wouldn't be treated the way they are. The truth is that things have to go a lot farther than we have any evidence of them going before that's a real concern. Don't preach statistics to me. The sad, sick truth of the matter is that there is probably a wife beater living on your block who is far more likely to kill or be killed than Randy ever will be and you quite apparently don't care about that as much as you do making sure that people know the pro football player offends you.

This is exactly what Rosenhaus was talking about: people judging Randy before he is judged in court. Who are you to call Randy a "dangerous thug" before anything has been proven? If I recall correctly last year his wife was beating him up and he just pushed her away to get him off of her. Are you saying if some woman was hitting you that you wouldn't push her off of you to get away? If you say no, you're a liar. I'm not saying he didn't hit his wife this time, it's looking like that may be the case. No one on here is acting like it's not a big deal, but you are one of the few condeming him before the verdict is even in... I'm a criminology major, I know just as well as anyone that spousal abuse is a problem in the country, and quite a few husbands/wives caught up in it end up killing their spouses, but this is far from that situation. Just like you, I've seen spousal abuse first hand but I'm not calling Randy a potential murderer. You are of course entitled to your opinion, but don't call someone elses post ridiculous when you're calling one of our beloved Dolphins a potential murderer when we don't even really know the situation.

Nicely said, man.

Since we're getting into credentials, I'll point out I'm a law student with a serious interest in criminal law. This summer, I'm working in public interest law for an organization that handles (among many other things) matters such as divorces for victims of domestic abuse.

The other week, my wife wakes up in the morning with a really bad black eye. Through out the next week and half, everyone looks at me funny, kinda suspicous. I would never ever hit my life unless I felt like my life was threaten. When people asked what happen, they never asked me, always her. I don't think everyone believe her either. I was laying on the covers and she was trying to pull them over her and her hand slipped and she punched herself in the eye. True story, wait and see how things are played out in court before judging.
