Ross contacts Martin

One scenario I could see playing out in the offseason is that Ross personally asks Martin to re-join the team and he tells the players to "leave him alone" on the rough stuff and to welcome him back. Ross would tell Martin that if he gets any out of line treatment, to personally call Ross and that Ross will take care of it. This could be easier with Incognito, Ireland, Jimmy Turner, Philbin all gone. These are the geniuses that did things like (a) desert all prior leaders in the team (Bush, Long, Dansby et al), (b) not be proactive in getting other leaders into the locker room (i.e., a complete lack of recognition of the importance of leadership), (c) be completely out of touch with the locker room, (d) endorse putting Incognito into a leadership council position (regardless of whether the players voted it), and (e) not recognize Martin's mental weakness, and then putting a loose cannon in Incognito in charge of Martin.

The idea would be a PR move. Ross wants a good team image. PFT said he was apoplectic about what happened. Ross would try put the Dolphins in the light of being a progressive team.

Martin could very well be suicidal now. They need to be seriously watching over him.

He has been publicly emasculated by his daddy. Probably this has happened before, that could be what those other texts were about.

His life will never be the same. He will never make it in the NFL that much is clear.

I would imagine the NFL is going to make sweeping changes due to this and if somehow he comes back no one will have to tell them to leave him alone.

I don't think he will be able to survive in the NFL.

Offensive Linemen have to work together or they can't effectively protect anyone.

If he needs special treatment, he will not be able to make it.

He won't be able to make it on the field with the Defensive linemen or off the field with the
pressure of winning & playing hurt and playing thru bad spots in the NFL

Correct! Your sins will find you out. If the coaches or GM tried to intimidate Martin or sweep this under the rug heads will roll. Philbin is the leader and ultimately accountible for everything that happens on this team. If theres a cover up he will be gone.

There is still alot we dont know. Because Martin is not telling anyone, or no one is trying to get him to talk other than dolphins. He is suppose to meet with NFL later this week. But if he does not give NFL anything, this thing goes to court. Ever get a lawsuit through court before within weeks?

We do know that Martin didnt give many warning signs about this. That is why I want to know about all these text messages and the timeline and particularly when the so-called abuse started, ran up to, and almost stopped because I have a feeling any kind of over the top bullying happened around April when he didnt show up for OTA's and then towards preseason there wasnt a whole lot of action so he had to use the only thing to walk out on and that is the cafeteria prank....which is lame.

Can you just imagine what opposing players and fans would be saying to Martin if he ever does come back to the NFL?

Well you would think it would not be good. But who knows the way the media is spinning this he may wind up being a hero.
Even some former players going along with him.

Also not desensitized was Hines Ward of NBC’s Football Night in America.

“Being biracial myself, I understand Jonathan Martin, because I had to deal with some of those same issues growing up,” Ward said during Sunday’s show. “As a child, I was bullied and discriminated against because I was of mixed race. I heard some of the guys throughout the league say that Jonathan Martin should be a man and fight back. But for me it takes a bigger man to walk away from the situation. n the locker room we don’t play with the ‘N’ word. When a guy calls another man of the opposite race the ‘N’ word, there are no more games being played.”

What if he tried to call but not answering the phone. We do not know all the facts. This is how things get blown up!

And back to Philbin.

Once again, if Philbin says action was taken immediately, on something not involving Martin, then in a court of law this is thrown out possibly. It is not relevant to Martin's treatment. And if the league was a part of that immediate action (think Ben Rothlisberger), then Philbin is kind of out of the loop here dont ya think on that?

Most everything else seems hidden agenda by Martin. If indeed so, I cant see Philbin taking a hit other than suspended for some games. Just because he is not a superbowl winner is not a legitimate reason for firing a man who Ross hired himself.

Mike Ditka's view on Mike and Mike this morning sure got some heads to back off there.

And people have to remember the Miami Dolphins are a franchise owned by NFL rights. This becomes about NFL so they have to defend themselves to a point. But then again, Goodell is ruining football so the guy will dole out money.

Move out of Miami Ross.
