Ross infatuated with signing Peyton Manning

and since we're surmising beyond the article's facts to conveniently form-fit our agendi, suppose he didn't, eh? Still a good thing?
Im not surmising anything. Im dealing with hypotheticals. And I have no agenda.

If Manning is healthy and reports show hes 100% i have no doubt in my mind that Stephen Ross WILL NOT BE OUTBID BY ANYONE.

if you don't think miami can be outbid you better hope daniel snyder doesn't get involved...

I am sure Mr Ross has not said a single word to Barry Jackson about Peyton Manning. Tampering charges are very serious and could cost the team big time. Just another columnist shooting their mouth off.

Besides all that, when is Ross going to learn to play his cards close to his chest? He always comes off as
Desperado. Isn't he supposed to be a good businessman??

If Peyton Manning is released, Redskins are expected to pursue him. Redskins also prepared to pursue free agents Matt Flynn and Kyle Orton.

its deff worth the risk to wait for manning, even if we lose out on flynn. that is assuming manning is healthy of course.

its not like we would be waiting for manning and risking to lose out on aaron rodgers, we would be risking to lose matt ****ing flynn, a career backup, a guy drafted to be a backup, yet one great statistical game hes a cant miss free agent.

amazes me what one great game does for someone in this business.

I don't think he has said a word to anyone outside the organization. it probably was leaked by someone inside the building to jackson who may have an in to some of the dolphins' plans. i know publicly teams cannot comment in such a manner about players under contract for other teams, but in the privacy of their own building i don't think there are any rules. Just an interesting tidbit about Pat Riley, whenever he talked to members of the Heat organization in meetings before summer of 2010, he would always talk about bringing in "the player", never mentioning him by name.

I would tend to agree in general, but I doubt that Peyton wants to be in the same division as his brother. He'd probably use the Redskins as leverage, but I'm not so sure he would sign with them.

redskins looking at kyle orton...lmao...take him

as for peyton and the skins i'm sure there would be a lot of leverage play there but if snyder blows everyone else out the water with his offer i think it becomes more than leverage...and i don't buy any argument that peyton would never join any team in his brothers division...peyton seems too competitive for that to me...ideally though he probably goes to another afc team...and don't sleep on the jets...i think they would be all in if he's medically cleared

I've always wondered the same thing. How did this dumb*** get so rich by being so open about everything? Always comes off as desperate, and desperate rarely wins anything.

It seems to me, based on absolutely nothing other than my own suspicions, that they want the possibility of playing against each other in the Super Bowl at some point. Not too likely to happen, but it would still be a possibility.

Peyton Manning is willing to create a contract that would contain no guaranteed money up front and would be incentive laden with bonuses.
