Ross is going to speak.....This should be good!

I am sure there will be some that pick out some part of the statement and blow it out of proportion to help meet their agenda to bash Ross. Just waiting for those "fans" to make a big deal out of something he says.

Steve Ross told me the Dolphins want to interview more candidates but cannot because "they're in games this weekend," meaning in playoffs.

Gotta love it! In the end of the day you can only ask that Ross is wanting not just the big name but the right guy for the JOB!

BTW Steve Ross has been calling reporters and soon there will be many articles and accounts from the miami dolphins perspective as to how the story went between Fisher and the HC vacancy. Be on the look out

Id love to see them bash an Owner whos goal is that as stated above. IMO thats all ou can ask for the man wants a long term solution and wants the right solution. Not just a big name
 
I don't really care much how Ross tries to spin the story about what really happened in the Fisher hiring process. It's time to move on and find a head coach who really wants to be in Miami.

Blowing Ross's comments out of proportion? No way. That's almost as silly as someone hearing "I hope Chad Henne is the next Dan Marino" and screaming about how our dumb owner thinks that Henne is as good as Marino!

LOL it will happen...IDK but i swear I just couldnt be that type of fan. Im excited to get a guy who is young motivated and WANTs to be here and is the right MAN for the JOB!

Nubs, I think where I am at with it right now, is that fairly or more unfairly at this point, the media and general perception of the Dolphins is one of complete chaos, mistrust, and unorganization. The real problem now is changing that perception as it is spreading like wildfire.

For example....We lose out on Fisher, so to the national media we botched another HC search and they end up painting it in as negative a light as possible because of the "blundering baffoon Ross." That perception is going to be dang hard for the Dolphins to change, but winning will fix a lot.
 
I am very disappointed but I'll give Ross credit for sticking to his guns. I think he made the wrong decision but it does not take away the fact that he didn't just cave in to get the sexy name.
 
Im sorry Ross lovers, but perpetually making comments like "Young Don Shula" and "Future Hall of Fame Coach" really looks silly when the guy strikes out every time he tries to get a guy he likes. Obviously, he wanted Fisher, and lost. He doesn't know what he wants. He just wants a Hall of Famer. Well Sherlock, so does everyone else!
