Ross is selling shares of his part of the team.

It's interesting, it seems like a purely business/economic move. I guess it's okay. I like the owners that stay out of the way and let the front office do all of the football related work.

After a quick thought...he's probably selling shares to avoid the credit crunch...how this affects us is to be seen.

He probably sold some to Jorge Perez. Back in 07' when this whole sale was rumored, it was that Ross would get the majority and then sell small shares to Jorge Perez.

Agreed. Now is the time to sell, especially seeing how this team is moving in the right direction. He bought in when we were coming off a 1-15 season, which means he probably bought in relatively cheap. Now he can make a move and get some of his money back.

As long as Ross keeps the team in Miami, im fine.

Why do you guys always think the Dolphins would leave Miami. The history and fan base of this team is to rich and strong that it would be absolutely ludacris. Guys Dolphin Stadium was rocking yesterday, so dont even mention the bandwagon fans.

Let's be honnest with one thing here !!!

I was looking at the stadium during the Chargers game-Lots of empty seat..

In a business point of view, I kind of agree with Ross...

Most people who show up for dolphins game do not live in Miami nor Ft Lauderdale...The Chargers game was almost blacked out....

No, that makes NO SENSE!

1. Ticket sales aren't as big a deal in the NFL as they are in some of the longer season games where attendance makes a bigger % of the revenue. The NFL with only 16 games derives most of its money from TV and merchandising contracts. I'm not saying they aren't important, but this isn't baseball where attendance needs are almost the most important thing to some teams.

2. Who cares if the seats are empty? The game was sold-out so Wayne/Ross got pretty much all the money as if the stadium was full. These TV contracts are so lucrative that the TV stations are willing to lose money on the tickets to sell out and sell the adverts on TV. So it makes no sense to worry so much about attendance.
