Steve Ross has our Dolphins floundering in a decade of mediocrity. The product on the field is of his making, and his making alone. He has chosen, by direct extension, the decision makers and the product on the field. The buck stops with him.

If the coach is on the bench flicking through polaroids while the game is sliding, if he has players on the field that are not producing, if the Fins whiff on draft picks, it’s his fault. He as the owner is responsible for the product, and for our W-L record.

The root of his (sole) failures run deep, and have many facets. Firstly, I believe he wanted to own an NFL franchise, badly, because it was a shrewd business decision, not for his love of the game. For all the faults of Jerry Jones, I love his passion for the game and for winning. He lives and breathes his team. Ross is an absentee landlord, which is fine if you have chosen the right people. Ross has chosen mice that eat each other when the cat is away.

To compound the problem, Ross has invited celebrities to the party, why? Now that he is the host, he sees it important to invite Gloria Estefan and Venus/Serena Williams into the ownership ring. Why? Are they providing value? Perhaps. In the same way that celebrities and magnates were invited to the inaugural sailing of the Titanic.

It’s 2008 all over again. Parcells upset with JT who, after a 1-15 record, spends his offseason on Dancing With the Stars. The Fins are going nowhere for a decade, and Ross is somehow putting energy into filling his box with celebrities.

Get a grip and focus on putting a winning product on the field.

Clean house, and get your sh*t together, or hand over the team to someone who cares enough to eat, sleep, breathe this team

The Ross defenders will chime in saying “great owner, hands off, open checkbook, spent own money on stadium.” All of that means nothing because Ross relies on failures like Carl Peterson and Mike Tannebuam to guide him on building team.

The renovations at Hard Rock Stadium which was north of $350 million dollars, and paid for all by himself has given us a huge home field advantage, but don’t let that distract you from the fact that he allowed Dalvin Cook to average 7.2 yards per rush, oh wait...

ross is a billionaire, maybe he should buy everyone in the afc east a new stadium. we seem to have a good winning record in this one. maybe if he would've bought the Vikes a stadium that was a replica of ours,,,,,never know..... cook might've been shut down

I remember all the "Ross got his man" threads and how thrilled everyone was when he hired Gase.....It's amazing how history changes over time.

Can Ross make better decisions at times...yes. Has Ross been willing to spend money to make the team better....yes. Is Ross the best evaluator of Front Office talent.......err, maybe not. But what Ross also doesn't do is allow 100 yards rushing in the first quarter and 21 points on defense. Ross doesn't tell the offensive linemen to not block the defenders blitzing so we can get our QB killed and Ross doesn't tell our receivers to drop passes or step out of bounds and he doesn't tell our coach to run when he should pass and pass when he should run.

I get it....we lost, we hate everyone and everything but we have a lot bigger problems with this team than Ross.

he will hire another bunch of unexperienced cheap assistant coaches to go along with the new cheap hc. wqam will put out the propaganda non stop about how some unknown assistant coach is as hot as hot gets.
they will wheel him in as the great new thing when in fact he probably doesnt know right from left

Joe Rose, Channing C et al will pour it on thick, then later pretend they said nothing.

I don't know... Ross played dirty trying to get Harbaugh the first time so who knows when he's had enough, maybe he's had enough.

People who blame Ross are clueless.

And why are they clueless? Last time I checked Ross owns the team and he is the one who hired Joe Philbin and Adam Gase to be head coaches here. He is the one who brought in Mike Tannenbaum to run the front office. It ultimately falls on his shoulders. Until he hires the right people to run this team, this team is going to continue to suck like it has since he bought the team. The Browns are finally turning it around because their owner finally hired a good GM to run the team. That needs to happen in Miami before anything changes.

There's good and bad there. He's not afraid to spend whatever it takes. The problem has been him hiring the wrong people to run the team. T-baum messed up the jets real bad and now he's done it to us too. The biggest problem with Ross is he's never clean house. He fired the HC but kept the GM......then fired the GM but kept the HC and on and on. He needs to just clean house, bring a real GM that can in turn bring in his HC who in turn will get his own QB. Nothing will change if he fires one or two guys but keeps the others. It'll be more of the same.

The only thing I blame Ross for is that it is at his direction that we pursue these pass happy schemes. He does not like traditional ground and pound football. That's why he selected Philbin and Gase.

That's what I've been saying all along. Ross isn't capable of hiring the right people to run this team. He needs to hire a real GM and give that person the authority to hire a head coach, front office, and scouting department that fits his vision.

If Ross hires Harbaugh he will be blamed and some folks will have a problem with it, if he keeps the current staff or fires the current staff he will be blamed and some folks will have a problem with it, if it rains in South Florida on game day...you guessed it he will be blamed and some folks will have a problem it. I remember the days when folks on this very site hated the idea of a Jerry Jones type owner, we wanted our owner to hire the best people and stay out of the way showing up periodically only to sign checks. I can understand some of us not liking his choice of HC or GM or waterboy…..I get it, but some of you are telling me this man is a horrible owner because of the lack of success by the Dolphins? Get outta here!

"Never feel sorry for a man with a jet."

Sorry, felt appropo.

Regardless, if I had the money and wanted to buy the Dolphins, I could tell you how much I would care about a casual fan's complaints after I also forked out half a billion I'm renovations for said fan to have a roof over his head to watch the game. Any guesses?

Now that the rich mogul part of me has spoken, on to more pressing opines.

Thank you Mr. Ross for the nearly $2 Billion im sure you have spent in your time with us.

Needed saying.

Mr. ross, I only ask one small favor, please fire everyone and, if your schedule allows after lunch, make one quality exec hire who can rid you of this turmoil. And let them know your piggy bank is available to fix the team's problems.

If you could do this one thing for Christmas, it would be the best Christmas gift ever.

Also, if not too much to ask, could you donate new servers, equipment, web hosting company and operational funding for the next 10 years to Finheaven com.

Also, could you find their donation goals for the current year.

And if not too much, courtesy VIP memberships for the first 1M users.

BTW, love what you've done with the place. We love your money.

Sincerely, the people who incessantly biotch because we hate our normal lives and blame you for everything wrong with our fantasy lives.

Hugs and kisses.
