Ross on the Finisders

Ireland layed the foundation? To what? 3 losing seasons in a row? Look, I don't blame Ireland for every little thing but he has missed more than he's hit. Trading 2 #2's for a head case like BM was stupid by his own admision as he took less to trade him away. Last year he drafted everyone sonner than they deserved. You don't take a center at 15 and why trade up for a RB when you can get him or someone else later? RB's are a dime a dozen these days. But, I hope he has a good draft next month cause we're stuck with him for now.

Ozzy rules!!

This team was complete trash before Ireland got here he had to lay down the foundation. Idk why most people dont understand that.

Yea because you expect to build all the way up to6-10 after four years

Yea the GM with a 7-9, 7-9, 6-10 who sucks at rebuilding is given a chance to continue to fail at rebuilding.

This media tour by Ross is only for one reason: To get suckers to buy season tickets to the ever likely crap fest going to happen in the Fall.

Rightfully so, the radio stations down here are mocking this franchise and Ross's pathetic overtures.

REALITY....is we have NO OFFENSE to go along with top 10 defense. Cant Ireland and Company see that?

Not to defend anyone, but remember Ireland inherited a 1-15 team... There's always the fluke opportunity and they got it in 2008. Lets be honest here, they havent found a franchise QB yet, but when they do, the roster around that QB is set to make noise...

Ross would be given so much love if he hired a respected GM/personnel guy to run the franchise. It starts at the top...

Who do you suggest? Something tells me if a new hire was made, you still wouldn't be satisfied......

it wasn't rebuild mode when peyton manning was in play...it was "franchise qb away from the super bowl" out of ross own mouth...i guess this is plan b...or c...or maybe d

Understand what your saying but Peyton fing Manning doesn't come along everyday. You through your plan out the window when a player of that caliber comes along.

its so easy to sit there and play monday mornin QB. Miami fans are the worst. They should write and article about that. like when we were in the playoffs and still couldnt sell out.

Hey, wasn't it not long ago that we were celebrating because Ross pulled the trigger on Tony Sparano and went out and got us a coach from a winning organization who is highly respected in the league and is going to bring a *real* offensive system to our team? What can he really do other than that? Bring back the '72 jerseys? Upgrade the stadium or build a new one? Those would be nice, but they aren't going to translate to Ws.

Well, I suppose he can fire Jeff Ireland. IMO, the continued public vote of confidence from Ross shouldn't be making him feel any better. I think Jeff's on a real short leash right now.

First of all do you remember how Mr Ross handled the Sparano affair.....I'm not even going to get into it it so obvious. Ya we celebrated but an awful lot of us felt that he should have been released a year earlier...(instead Ross gives a 2 year extension..dah) another year wasted time...
Also feel unnecessary to be grateful that our owner picks up a coach who is respected in the league.

Something he could do is shut his trap every off season instead of feeding us a line of crap every year about how were going to be aggressive in FA, make substantial upgrades, "significant improvements" is this years propaganda promise and we will see how that turns out, not to mention the QB upgrade he talked about, but I don't fault him there because there's nothing there to do anything about....

" Well, I suppose he can fire Jeff Ireland.".........brilliant

lmao build through the draft? Theyll b 31 other teams doing that as well Miami is not special. As if Miami was the only team that got the draft memo. Guys I understand you want to trust this front office we have heard this for multiple years now. Before fa we heard we are going to make a big splash. Someone let me know what that splash was. wasn't even a splish. Now we are hearing building thru the draft now everything makes sense? ooo can't wait for that I wonder which lineman we are going to pick up in early rounds. Then once we get all the pieces from the draft to use for building we are gonna hear oh theyre rookies let em play and get experience. It's the first year with Philbin yadee yadee yada. I'm too smart at this stage to fall for words from these individuals with nothing but losing seasons to back up their philosophy. Im still a dolfsn and will always b but I'm not gonna sit here and fall for sugar coating. Ross needs to stfu stop talking like he knows **** about football and personal and Ireland needs to b thrashed stick to scouting find the players pass them along to a capable gm and let him talk to the players

Ya no it's not easy being a Dolphin's fan. We have been through a lot of misery and disappointment, even before Marino retired. But even if we go 1-15 for the next 10 years, I'll still l be a loyal fins fan. That's what makes a true fan, not pissing and moaning about everything in March. I get fustrated to, but we are who we are. If you want easy, pull for the Pats. Nut up, or shut up.

That presser was comedy gold.Think of the idiocy of this franchise...

Ireland inherited a 1 - 15 team, the number one overall draft pick has "accomplished" the following in FIVE off seasons:

1) Failed to address the QB postion
2) Holds a LT as the best player on the roster
3) Specializes in the "Buy HIGH sell low" philosophy
4) Engineered THREE straight losing seasons

Laughable

Ross said, "blah, blah, blah,

Mr Ross shut the hell up and do something ?

How long are we supposed to put up with his promise, pledges, goals, etc., when in reality all we see are and organization fixated on building the worlds greatest NFL depth team..............

His words at this point are meaningless, but I guess some fans can read some kind of positive crap out of his BS.......
But hopefully not most of us......been there done that for 3-4 years, with all the things he's going to do, what a joke...

Hey Ross do it then talk...............

Give the man a break ... he's stil learning on the job ... at the franchise's expense. But what the hey he owns it!

"Dolphins owner Steve Ross acknowledged being an NFL owner has been a learning experience. "I've had more owners come up to me and admit, 'I didn't know what I was doing for 4 or 5 years.' This is a different business. You can succeed in business, and it is a lot easier to do that than win [in the NFL]. You know what players you want, but that doesn't mean you can get them. A lot of things are out of your control, and we're all competitive as hell."
