Ross Tucker rips dolphins final 3 candidates

I like the three candidates. Lazy assessment by Ross Tucker.

I like one of the canidates the other two shouldnt even be in discussion for a head coaching job but the nfl is unique teams dont interview based on being good at your job. Bowles is nothing special as a secondary coach based on results. How many pro bowls has Smith or Davis been to , how questionable is safey now. Mccoy I think will be a good head coach one day but he has done nothing to warrent this type of promotion. Philben cant argue he has been successful and deserves a chance to be a head coach. dont see how the other guys have better credentials than Zimmer . In fact how does MCcoy have better credentials than Chudinski. I have a bad feeling McCoy will be our guy because he is the youngest and less known so therefore less to pick apart. I guess we learned our lesson last year by keeping Sparano because john Fox and Ron Rivera seem like stud canidates compared to these guys

I guess the 3 games Bowles coached count for nothing. .

I guess being a defensive backs coach and leading a group of defensive backs to 23rd in passing yards allowed in 2011 counts for nothing.

or 25th in 2008 in passing yards allowed
or 24th in 2009 in passing yards allowed
or 8th in 2010 in passing yards allowed

1 decent year out of 4...with 3 seasons being terrible
and we're ready to Crown Bowles head coach

I didn't realize how far the fan base and what we expect out of our next head coach has fallen

Its ironic isnt it. Like I keep saying two years ago Bowles not good enough to be dc but now magically he is head coach material

The Bills have also sucked for more than a decade. I don't see the media ripping every little thing about that team...

...because you aren't actively looking for/noticing Bills news. Unless you are, which would be weird because we're Dolphins fans. When the Bills collapsed this year, I do remember ESPN and other media outlets ripping them for making the decision to give Fitzpatrick a huge contract.

Tucker explained what he meant on his podcast today, and talked about this for several minutes. He knows Philbin personally, and thinks he'll be a good HC. But he is completely stumped that Zimmer is not the leading candidate. His main point is that, on paper, the three candidates don't look great.

They actually do count for nothing. Team was playing out the string. Games were meaningless for Miami

Dude sounds like he gets a lot of airtime and yet I've still never heard of him

He does get quite a bit of airtime. Check out the football today podcast on espn, he's on there every day, sometimes Matt Williamson is on there as well. Williamson is awesome, Tucker is also good, and gives lots of interesting insights into things most fans don't know about football.
