Yes, it was the owner's little jab at Fisher. And while it doesn't ensure success, it's nice to at least start off by hiring someone who wants to have the job. He'll need that desire and proper attitude to get us back. Philbin was ready to take that next step and told his agents to pursue all head coaching vacancies and to secure interviews. Hope he gets us where we need to be.

Fisher will be all fired up for next year's game. He holds grudges like a mobster.

I hope Fisher enjoys his 7 homes games next year....Jeff Fisher is now a Euro. Congrats.

Week 1 the NFL needs to have Rams vs Dolphins. They are on each others schedule so it works out thankfully.

The storyline is great. Don't put it off. Week 1 out of the gate, make it happen!

So what. His team stinks. In retrospect, I think Philbin is a better choice for this team simply because he has embraced this job and pursued it. He also appears to be brighter and more creative.
Fisher, on the other hand, never seemed enthusiastic about this job which means he may have bailed out at the 1st sign of pressure or conflict. He presented himself like a little princess courting suitors

Ross was right in that from the interview it is now obvious Jeff Fisher never wanted to be the coach of the Miami Dolphins and all those lame reports saying Toub and Zimmer had withdrawn their names because their good friends advised them not to work for the Dolphins where also false.

In the end we got a fired up enthusiastic coach who cannot wait to get started as the Head Coach of the Miami Dolphins.

Why jab at Fisher, isn't it enough that he will have brian Shottenheimer as his OC? :p

Oh the irony, if we lay a smackdown on the Rams next year. Would feel great!

Yeah, but as you mentioned, Fisher has his own problems right now. The Rams ownership never bothered to tell him that they were in the process of concluding a deal that would move one home game to London for the next three years. He just found out two days ago and sure isn't too happy about it.
