How many new people will we have on our opening day roster? The turn over from saban in his first year was over 20 I think of the 53 man roster.

My guess is that we have at least 12 this year.

The more the better every player Nick brought in through the draft and FA's did a great job.

I would say around 15 also. If Saban has another good draft this year, you figure almost all of them will make the team. That is about 7 new players right there. Then maybe about 5 free agents and about 3 undrafted free agents that could make the team. That puts the number around 15. I think that is realistic

hhmm, i think it will be closer to 10, interesting stat though..should be interesting to see

It will be less drastic this year...I say 8. Four draft picks and four Free Agents. Remember, we get some good developmental players back this year from injury status.

I said this in another post, but if Saban can bring in the same talent this offseason as he did last offseason, we're going to be much better than this year...but we have to wait and see. The progress or lack of progress the NFLPA and he owners make on the CBA could have a major impact on FA and draft signings this year...

hey wHEN DOES FREE AGENCY START?

Beginning of march, the 3rd I think, there's a thread somewhere here that lists the offseason schedule and it includes free agency

something between 12 and 18

if you consider around 7 rookies..plus last year inactive guys like poole, mitchell, vickerson, alabi and few others (maybe eckel, seau,etc)...plus a few FA signings

It's true Saban is a good choice of chraracter and he usually picks the right man for the job

That would be my guess, as well. I remember reading something to the effect that Saban did not plan on the wholesale turnover that we saw last year. We already have our 5th rd pick in Wright; bring in maybe, what, 5 at most FAs? Then whoever is drafted this year; 10 sounds like a pretty sound guess.
Hey! good job finsarellife.:cooldude:
