By the time we cut the roster to 53, we need to cut the depth at several positions. I just wanted to know how many TEs do we keep. I think we keep three. Last year we had McMike, Peele and Massaquoi. That means we need to cut one. Is Rader the odd man out? Or is Massaquoi to be cut from another NFL team in Florida? We would also cut Aaron Halterman.
At QB, pending on any additional changes, the odd man out would be Hamdan.
At RB, I would think we are going with Brown, Booker, Chatman and Cobbs. We had 4 RBs last year. I think the one out would be Perkins.
At FB, we keep two, right? So, Schlesinger and Mauia. Is Eckel out then? Maybe practice squad? Now, we only had 1 FB last year right? That means if we leave two FBs, we need to cut another RB? Correct me if wrong.
At WR, we keep five and one to the squad. I say: Chambers, Hagan, Ginn, Booker and Campbell. We cut Hakim. With the possible trading of Booker which would created more space. P.K. Sam makes it, squad or gone? We also cut Kerry Reed, David Sutton and Michael Malone.
A few possible cuts at OL: Julius Wilson, Marion Dukes and Dan Stevenson. I really like Stephen Parker and I would like him to stay. I wonder what is going to happen to Rosenthal (He might remain as a backup for Shelton). Also, Toledo and Alabi might get cut if they are not healthy (Just my opinion).
At DL, possible cuts: Steve Fifita, Chase Page Although, Chase Page could also remain as a DE), and Marquay Love (All DT, which leaves us with Holliday, Traylor, Soliai, Vickerson, Evans, and R. Wright - so we might have to cut someone else at DT) and Bruce Mkristo (the only possible cut at DE I see).
At LB, we cut Robert McCune, Edmond Miles (although I like what I have seen of him so far), Jim Maxwell, and maybe Derrick Pope.
At S, Courtney Bryan, David Lofton (I like his speed though) and Christopher Vedder.
At CB, Shirdonya Mitchell, Tuff Harris, and either Derrick Johnson or Geoffrey Pope.
At K, we cut Matt Prater and at P, we cut Ryan Flinn.

We have got 86 players in the roster right now, we need to cut 33. It shall be interesting to see who stays and who goes.

Booker and Culpepper will move on and depending on the progress of our young offensive lineman, another veteran may be traded or cut from the OL.

I don't see Cobbs making the team. I think we keep two fullbacks with Mauia playing some of the special teams roles that TE's usually play.

We may keep six WR's, Chambers,Hagan,Campbell,Sam,Ginn,Hakim.

I think the practice squad may look something like this:

David Lofton S
Malone WR
Mormino C
Parker G
Wright LB
Sutton WR/TE
Tuff Harris DB

I don't think anyone care really answer this question because we don't know how Cameron will set his roster. We don't know if he'll keep 9 or 10 offensive linemen, 1 or 2 FBs, 2-3 TEs, etc.

Have I missed something, are the Dolphins shopping Booker (wr) or have they told him to seek a trade? Just wondering with all the posts referring to him being traded.

Bro do not count Perkins out so early. He played for the Chargers and was on there practice squad. He didn't make the team dues to a couple of guys named LT, and Turner. He knows Cam's system, and is a quick in out of the hole type of back. I saw him in some pre-season games with the Chargers out here, and I liked what I saw. We shall see what happens, that is why there is training camp.

I know. But I have seen Chatman in training and I like him. Cobbs was around last year as well, and I have seen him playing with the second team a few times. Perkins was in the third team. When CP was practicing, he was handling the balls to Perkins.

We can only get better bro with better depth. I look at it as Brown, Booker, and the best player next. May the best man make the team.

Don't be too surprised if Kyle Eckel makes the team. He was a ball carrying beast for the Navy. He's listed at FB but he's got good hands, too.
Also IMO there's a good chance that Ingram is kept. Mormino is going to have to show an awful lot to beat him out.
Plus I think Hakim stays. He played for Cam last year. Cam brought him into Miami pretty quick after he was hired. Just my opinion; but I would say Cam likes him and unless he's made to look bad by some of these younger guys, he'll stick.
I'm looking for Toledo to be let go if he's not 100% ready to go by training camp. He had a hard time staying healthy in college and he's continuing the trend in the NFL.
