Since mini camps are here and training camp is right around the corner, I was wondering what are the rules about how many players a team could have signed in different parts season and training camps, as well as the spots in Europe and PS, and even IR or PUP?

All teams must now stay at or under the salary cap. A team can make as many moves as they like as long as they don't go over the cap. I believe that the Top 51 salaries count against the cap, So most of the "league Minimum" cotracts don't count.

80 players under contract plus whatever you have in Europe.

What I'm not sure about are the draft picks. We have 81 guys now signed if you include Murphy signed earlier today inluding six in NFLE. We also have six draft picks who won't sign a contract until June or July. If they count we are one over though I think Eric Kimble may be put on IR if reports of an achilles injury on Saturday are true. If the draft picks don't count until they sign then we could add up to five more for the off season work until the draftees sign.

One more roster note, the college guys have restrictions as to when they can workout unlike the "street" free agents. If their college hasn't graduated yet, they can't come back as much or as early. Hurts guys from places like Ohio State which is on quarters and whose classes don't end until mid-June.
