Too early to look at the final 53 but, not so for some talk and questions. A couple of mine.

QB- IF Josh Freeman looks good, would we keep three QB's with eyes on Moore's replacement next year?

OL- We have Albert, James, Pouncey, Turner, Dallas, Douglas, and Walton who appear to be locks. Then there is Fox and Brenner. We likely will keep 9 or maybe 10. I would look for an OT/OG before anything else. I believe this will be a roster tweak.

LB- No matter how I look at it we need a vet LB for inside or outside or insurance.

I think we will add these two players if there is anyone available, and there should be by FA or, maybe trade.

If Freeman looks that good i would not be shocked to see Miami trade Moore to a team that's either young, unsettled or has suffered an injury at quarterback. Odds are Freeman gets cut and placed on the in case of emergency call list. You will likely see a young quarterback that gets released by another team at the end of training placed on Miami's practice squad.
I think it's either or when it comes to Brenner and Walton. I doubt they both make the cut. Don't forget about Linkenbach in mix for the final offensive line spot.

I might kick the tires on Colin McCarthy as a dept linebacker.

As far as trading moore, I guess we can always use a 7th rounder

I'm pretty sure they'll be active at LB after the cuts. They should know Misi, Jenkins and Tripp won't cut it. I really hope Chris Mccain can study the game he's a local product from Northern Guilford HS here in Greensboro, NC

Moore isn't going anywhere. He signed a team friendly deal and he knows the offense and is a veteran presence, perfect backup QB, and we wouldn't get enough for him to make it worth moving him.

I think McCain is more of a 3-4 linebacker unfortunately. I think he can be good as situational

I didnt know McCain was from the Boro! I went to Western Guilford

Moore I think will stay... the club hasn't moved him yet so why now? But if Freeman out plays Moore I wouldn't mind a 6th or 7th for him at this point.

Caleb Sturgis I think will be replaced and we will bring in someone new (Hopefully someone that can kick a 15 yarder repeatedly). This is something I am totally holding my breath for.

We will be rotating the bottom of the barrel for OL depth - Just my opinion but I think the team is set with this as a relative weakness for this year and will address the G situation next year. If James follows up his rookie season with another strong outing and we remain healthy on the other side I think it will be passable.

LB scares me but there is a good possibility that one or two of the UDFA LBs stick to the squad and can work their way into a starting position in the future. we better find some experienced depth for the position.

I have a feeling Mathews will be traded and Hazel will take the #5 position in the WR rotation which I feel will be a strength this season.

but hey - camp and the Preseason may change our needs for this season drastically.

In my opinion this roster is radical because it is so young and so stacked with players with potential.

I do not think we can realistically speak about a roster yet because there are so many surprises that are likely to happen - injuries too.

I think Dallas Thomas is another Ireland bust...

No worries though we will find plenty of good players in the ones we have hear now.

I was not thinking of trading Moore but, maybe keeping 3 QB's if Freeman looks good. It would be a move looking ahead to next year and having a backup familiar with the O.

I work in Greensboro...I'm kind of surprised that Cal recruits so much from this area. Pretty sure their QB (who's name I can't remember now) and Keenan Allen are from Greensboro...they're cousins if I remember correctly. They all would have been in the same class I think.

Would depend on a lot of things IMO. I wouldn't keep a 3rd QB when you could keep a 6th WR, or a 6 CB, or a 4th RB, or a 4th TE, or an extra OL. The value is greater at other positions who could contribute on special teams or can be developed to be solid backups or starters.

I'm also not sure Brenner makes the 53 this year. Walton can play center and the hope is he can play the Guard spots also...even so, either Dallas Thomas or Jamil Douglas will be a backup Guard for the interior on either side. Fox is your swing tackle...the hope is we can find someone off the waiver wire that can upgrade Thomas or Fox. I think Walker, the undrafted rookie we signed, could replace Fox in a year after spending time on the practice squad but we'll see.

Linebacker is an obvious need...I'd be kicking the tires on every linebacker released lol.

I'd also be looking for any boundary type CB I can find.
